The Vancouver Canucks' personnel pipeline to Toronto continues to flow.

The Maple Leafs yesterday picked up Brad Leeb, a 23-year-old left winger who played two games for the Canucks last season, in a minor trade for the rights to unsigned defenceman Tomas Mojzis.

Leeb spent most of last season with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, totaling 32 points in 60 games.

"Mike Penny (the Leafs player personnel director who used to work in Vancouver) really likes him," Leafs assistant to the president Bill Watters said. "It's a move that strengthens our farm team in St. John's, but Leeb can be considered available for a call-up."

Leeb, a native of Red Deer, Alta., was not drafted, signing as a free agent with Vancouver in 1999. Mojzis, 20, split last season in the Western Hockey League between Moose Jaw and Seattle. He originally was Toronto's 11th choice, 246th overall, in the 2001 draft.

The Leafs added ex-Canucks Ryan Bonni and Josh Holden earlier this summer.
