St. John's Maple Leafs
January 9, 2003
Q - Hey Brad, Keep up the good effort! The question I have for you is
what do you think the team needs to improve to start winning?
A - As a team we have been playing some good hockey as of late. The
problem is we have not done it for the entire 60 minutes. It is an
old saying , but something we need to do. Stick to the game plan for
60 minutes.
Q - Hi Brad! What would you say are the differences, if any in
playing with the St. John's Maple Leafs and the Manitoba Moose?
A - Playing in St. John's, we have alot of long road trips. We are so
far from other teams, we have to go on the road for 2 weeks at a
time, and don't get alot of time at home. In Manitoba we got to sleep
in our own bed a lot more.
Q - HI Brad, I was wondering who inspired you to play hockey? Was
hockey your first ambition as a child? Good Luck - kathleen
A - I always wanted to be like my big brother, Greg. When he started
hockey I wanted to play too. As long as I can remember we both wanted
to play hockey in the NHL, and both have accomplished it. Greg with
Dallas and me with Vancouver.
Q - Hey Brad, I'm from Hamilton, Ontario and I go see you every games
you guys play when your in town. Here's my question, was it your
dream as a little boy to play for the Leafs or was it another team?
A - I grew up in Alberta watching the Edmonton Oilers in their glory
days. My dream was to play in Edmonton.
Q - Brad, What does your off-ice training entail both during the
season and in the off-season?
A - Off season entails a lot of weights to try to build as much
muscle as possible. I concentrate mainly on my leg muscles. They are
the most important muscle for playing my game. As well as strength I
need a strong cardio base. In season is mainly maintenance to keep
your strength and cardio.
