EASY DOES IT

Crawford wants D Bryan Allen, who was recalled from Manitoba for the Phoenix game, to be eased into the Canuck lineup.

"He's going to be put into situations that are reasonable," said Crawford.

"He's not going to be out there against Joe Sakic (Colorado) or Jason Allison (Los Angeles) or the top guys in the league.

"He'll play against guys who are maybe a little bit better that he faced in the American League," said Crawford, "And he'll continue to improve."
