SAINT JOHN, N.B.

Brad Leeb scored two goals, including the game winner in the second period, as the Manitoba Moose beat the Saint John Flames 3-2 in AHL action Saturday.

Justin Morrison had the other goal for the Moose (12-8-0-2).

Jason Morgan, with his first goal in 17 games this season, and Blair Betts replied for Saint John (6-9-5-1), which is now winless in its last six outings.

There were four separate fights in the feisty affair between Canadian Division rivals, including a wild scrap between Mike Brown of the Moose and Saint John's Steve Montador early in the third period.

"It was a chippy game," said Leeb. "Saint John doesn't give you anything and sometimes it gets a little rougher than other games."

The shots on goal were even at 28.

Former Saint John goalie Martin Brochu made 26 saves for the victory while Kay Whitmore stopped 25 shots for the Flames.
