          BE MERRY

Have the winter blues?
Watch for Spring clues.
         and
       Be Merry!

Too many things to do?
Reserve time for you.
         and
       Be Merry!

Are you in a slump?
Get out of your funk.
        and
      Be Merry!

Feeling Tired and bored?
Speak to your Lord.
         and
       Be Merry!

Will the mundane ever end?
Be your own best friend.
         and
       Be Merry!

Learn something new.
Create a new you.
          and
       Be Merry

         STRIFE

Strife makes our minds stronger.
Create new images that last longer.
Open your soul and trust again
Love will flow in, up to the brim.
This is my answer for you, my

     RAINBOW IN SPACE

I know it's hard to trust
The net can be a bust
Investigate, if you must
Don't let friendship turn to dust.

Emotions get lost in space
It's hard to show your grace
I think we've made a case
Having not a voice or face.

There are precious few
I can look up to
Like a rainbow's beautiful view
Please, let me admire you!

       BOOMER'S WORLD

Boomers serve as witnesses
to God's omnipresent love,
acknowledge splended gifts
flowing down from above.

They are generous in giving,
graceful in receiving,
caring and loving,
loyal and forgiving.

       SELF MATTERS

Validate yourself without hesitation.
Don't live by others' expectations.
They would mold and redefine you,
way beneath your intrinsic value.

They prey on your body and soul,
try to keep you from being whole.
It seems they are so needy,
they become selfish and greedy

They want you as their own,
providing complete satisfaction.
Never abandon your dignity
for the gratification of others.

Elevate yourself; self matters.
Bask in your own glory!

         TEARS

When tears flow from feelings,
there could be many reasons.
Maybe news was bad or sad,
or maybe you were glad.

I love people who shed tears
and are not ashamed to be seen
Reflecting they are capable
of being human and vulnerable.

This affect, stems from emotions,
is brought to another dimension,
when tears run for another,
perhaps your brother or Mother

Deep feelings bring sympathy
for someone who dearly matters
Precious tears of empathy
should be saved in a bottle
            and
          labeled
    "Love Drops From Heaven"

    LOVE IN CYBERSPACE

If you meet someone in cyberspace,
and come to know their soul.
You find it kind and gentle,
then something begins to grow.

Without any voice or face,
that naked soul, embraced,
reveals in all its splendor,
the essence of its creator.

Hence, we grow to love that soul,
regardless of where it resides.
Color, size and shape, play
no role.
Those walls fall by the wayside.

If, perchance you meet in the flesh
(primary form and substantal matter)
and your hearts and souls do mesh,
your spirit should feel gladder!

        I LOVE TO LOVE

I love to love.
How about you?

It makes me feel good inside:
Happy
Giddy
Silly
Willy Nilly

It makes me want to:
Dance
Romance
Take a chance
Give a flirtive glance

Then, I want to:
Help you
Guide you
Stand beside you
And give myself to cry to.

       STAYIN ADRIFT

When you get right down to it,
we're all just the same,
struggling to make it,
regardless of our game.

It's great to use our gifts,
doing what we enjoy
to remain adrift,
through talents we employ.

      RAINBOW IN THE MIST

When all seems bleak,
patience has reached its peak,
despair looms all around,
we feel off the ground ---

God sends us a rainbow
so we will surely know,
when the storm has ceased,
our pain will be released.

Yes, after the storm,
our souls are reborn,
our hearts will be aglow --
Out of the Mist Comes the Rainbow!

      LADY ADORNED

All that glitters is not gold.
Behind the mask, a woman scorned.
She can dazzle, jewelled, yet cold.
A dichotomy, her soul is torn.

On the outside, oh so bold,
she struts and swaggers, be forewarned.
On the inside, I am told,
she is weeping, my lady mourns.

Behind the mask, she hides and quivers,
her true self, she's afraid to reveal.
Her tears flow into rivers.
It's time, time to heal.

Peel away your golden cage.
I'll look through your brilliant eyes
to your soul and not your face.
Be still, there will be no demise,
Oh, Beautiful, Unadorned Lady!

AS I LAY DOWN TO SLEEP

Now, as I lay down to sleep,
I pray the Lord will gently keep
you embraced in His loving arms,
away from stress and any harm.

I pray that He will light your way
to joy and happiness everyday,
and, in His mercy, grant you a peace
that's still and quiet and brings relief.

    LIVING IN THE PROJECTS

Living in the Projects,
we were poor, yet, rich.

Rich in friends and unity,
with a sense of belonging
to a safe community.

Rich in caring and sharing
with families connected by dreams,
and a work ethic that made them weary.

But, after their work was done,
even our parents had fun;
Horseshoes, volleyball, or a 5 K run,
till the setting of the sun.

Us kids played hide-and-seek,
cowboys and Indians, hopscotch and jacks.
We skated and rode with no hands on bikes.
And, oh yeh, we made those mud pies.

Living in the Project,
We were rich, but poor.

Saturday nights were the best.
It was like a big fest.
All gathered around a fire,
laughing and singing, our Project choir.

Now, the Project torn down,
those families are officials of the town.
Most are now rich and rich,
but, never, ever forget their heritage!

     MY LITTLE ALBUM

I started a little album awhile ago.
It contains pictures and little stories
of those who've captured my soul.
Some, have gone on, to their glory!

Some are very young, some oh so old.
Some are family, but most are not.
Five are teachers, low and behold.
One is called "Sister" and two titled "Doc".

Some are black and some caucasian.
Some are men, but most are women.
Two are counselors, helping children.
And one, of course, my only son.

Most I've known for a lifetime.
Others were more fleeting.
One hasn't found the right time
to arrange for a meeting.

When I gaze at my little album
of beautiful souls I admire and respect,
I'm so thankful I've loved them
and have been so wonderfully blessed.

Each time I gently close it,
I hold all in my heart for awhile.
They indelibly touch my spirit.
Through my humble tears, comes a smile.

I tenderly tie a lace ribbon
around those God has given
as My Beloved!

    JUST AN OLD LADY

My books are all dusty
and my knees are getting rusty
but,
I can still love.

My eyes are getting droopy
and my heart's kind of loopy
but,
I can still love.

My fingers are going crooked
and my ankles are all swollen
but,
I can still love.

I'm just an old lady.
Please, don't be afraid of me,
cause,
I can still love!

        ANOMY

Why are there so many
ironic things in life?

So many blocked goals
So many things almost within reach
but, we just can't get to
So much unrecuited love,
love lost and waisted
So many mountains to climb
  rivers to cross
  frontiers to conquer
So much sadness?

I guess it's because of me,
I'm in a state of Anomy.

       COWPOKES

Get-along little cowpokes,
show off your skills.
Lasso them with your rope.
It's the chase that's the thrill.

Ride, Ride, Ride
Yippeei oh Yiaa

Get-along little cowboy.
You're a natural born rider
and it gives you such joy!
Go, ride beside her.

Ride, Ride, Ride
Yippeei oh Yiaa

Get-along little cowgirl.
The round-up's about to begin.
Bring in the herd.
Go ride beside him.

Ride, Ride, Ride
Yippeei oh Yiaa

Get-along little soulmates.
Let fate be your guide.
Even up the gate.
Ride side-by-side!

Ride, Ride, Ride,
Through the rain, wind and dust,
and into the pale sunset!

Yippeei oh Yiaa
Yippeei Oh!!

    NEVER HAD A SISTER

I never had a sister
to care, share
and fix hair
I never had a sister
and I miss her.

I never had a sister
to laugh and cry with
or tell a secret wish.
I never had a sister
and I miss her.

I never had a sister
to talk about boys
and swap clothes.
I never had a sister
and I miss her.

I've had surrogate sisters
friends, wives of brothers
and even my Mother.
But, I never had a sister
and I miss her.

    PERPETUAL HOPE

I am a victim of perpetual hope

I always have been
Always will be

Whatever the matter
Nothing will interrupt
I'll never give up

I will have tunnel-vision
to reach my goal
still, you never know

I may be blown over
or trampled upon
but, I will go on

I might have to change my route
or method of passage
I will still carry my badge
       as a
Victim of Perpetual Hope

      GOD'S LITTLE MIRACLES

Miracles happen every day
Only a coicidence, you say
They happen to folks like you and me
If only we could see

Were you ever pondering
a great mystery of life
then someone came to your side
and commenced to answering
      I did

Did you ever wish
a dear friend would call
then, the phone began to ring
off the wall
      I did

Ever pray about a decision
Then, someone gave a randition
Everything you needed to know
to decide and then to grow
      I did

These aren't just coincidences
They are God's little miracles
Coming from his Holy Spirit
through His angels on earth!

     RECONCILIATION

Oh, sweet Goddess of Love
You're so benevolent and graceful
Haven't you the power to be merciful
in all the misunderstandings of love

I beseech thee, to use your power
and call upon all of the Gods
to grant forgiveness this hour
by simply giving your nod

I humbly kneel before you
and beg you to understand
in a matter of innocence
tho, someone holds an opposite view

I am heartily sorry for having offended someone
I offended unknowingly
I offended unintentionaly
I give my contrition, please grant absolution

In the name of Love, I implore
you to grant reconciliation
Bring souls and spirits together again
to be separate nevermore!

    PRINCESS OF PEACE

Dear Father in Heaven,

I join with Saint Frances of Assisi
in making this request.
Let me be a channel of your peace,
for that is my quest.

I will honor the dove:
Wherever I am
Whatever I am doing
Whomever I am with
I will be a vessel of your love.

Oh, Prince of Peace,
your doves will be released
to soar on high
and illuminate the sky.

I make a solemn oath,
to do want You want most.
Make me into a dove
and a channel of Your love.

Let me be Your Princess,
Princess of Love and Peace!

Amen and Amen!!

    LIFE IS PASSING BY

Time is so precious and fleeting
It coincides with hearts beating
and the rhythm of the sea
Tick, Tick, Ticking

We try to control and harness it
to keep it from passing by
We know not how many minutes
we have left before we die

Have you noticed being selfish
with this element of live
savoring each moment
as it quietly passes by

Have you noticed you're in a hurry
to do everything you want
saying "no" because you're stingy
with each and every second

Have you noticed an aversion to sleep
with intermitant gulps of life
making memories to keep
as special frames in time

Measure your breaths carefully
Don't save the best for last
Live a life of beauty
before all of your time has past

       as
    Nothing can stop the
    Tick, tick, ticking
     Of Life Passing By

     LONE WOLF
    (Haiku Style)

I don't want to harm
I just want a place to be
Please don't be alarmed.

I'm out here alone
I want to survive, like you
Please, leave me alone.

Hiding seems futile
Why am I on your hit list
I'm so beautiful!

    ANIMALS OF THE WORLD

God loves all the animals,
all the animals of the world,
big or small,
short or tall.
He loves them all,
all the animals of the world.

God created all that lives,
blew his breath to begin all life.
Ending any is not our right.
He invited us into the light.

Creation is in perfect balance.
Each and every creature has it's place.
We're not to make a judgement of value,
or threaten it's homeostasis.

Each creature, land or sea,
is unique, but in perfect harmony.
Each has exactly what it needs,
and each is beautiful in it's own way!

God loves all the animals,
all the animals of the world,
big or small,
short or tall.
He loves them all,
all the animals of the world!

    I DREAMED OF YOU

I had a dream
about you last night.

You were extraordinarily beautiful
and incased in a heavenly golden aura.
You gave me a gloriously sweet smile,
so magnificent, it made me bow.

You gently held your hand out to me.
It was though you'd been waiting for me
to come and take your hand,
so we would be friends until the end.

To my delight, you even spoke to me.
I felt my heart skip some beats.
Your voice was so gentle and soft,
my spirit and soul soared aloft.

As I came closer to be near you,
your aura surrounded me too.
We were both encased in a gold,
that only God should behold.

It was only a dream
I had last night.

It was a phantasm, an illusion,
but I hope it was a premonition,
of times to come, better times,
still ahead, glorious times - -
when a dream is fulfilled
before we're in heaven,
a wish is granted,
and I actually
see you,
hear you,
and hold
  YOU

     FLY AWAY

Little fairy princess,
so innocent,
in a state of bliss - -

Awake and spread your wings.
Fly away, fly away
and share your dream.

Fly from one to another.
Tell the little ones
they do belong.

Tell them they are worthy,
they are beautiful.
Twinkle like a firefly,

then,
Fly, fly away.

     HAVE FAITH

Have Faith, my friend.
Everything will work out in the end.

All may not be as expected.
Your goals may become infected,
but, you will see my friend,
everything will turn out in the end.

     ALTRUISM

How many are altruistic?
Only a few, I'm sure.
It requires sacrifice,
and motives that are pure.

How many have you helped,
done things for and given to?
Altruism developed,
seeks no reciprocity.

But, can anything be this pure?
Even, heart-felt thanks, I'm sure,
give one some pleasure.
So, how can we measure
Altruism?

     LOVE CHAIN

I've been noticing a strange phenomenon.
When love is based on admiration,
there's a kind of hierarchy of love,
where each loves someone above,
in the chain of love.

Admiration is born from many things,
like intelligence or the quality of caring.
Nevertheless, the admiration evokes love
that flows up from one to another,
in the chain of love.

There's a fault built into this system.
For, who will love the one at the bottom?
The one at the top has no one to look up to.
So, this kind of chain, really won't do.
This chain, chain of love.

     AUTONOMY

Don't you think it's about time,
to be totally autonomous?
Self-governing is not a crime.
Don't let your life turn to dust.

Be what you want to be!
Go where you want to go!
See what you want to see!
Let your heart glow!!

Don't let anyone block you.
You have a right to be you.
So, do what you want to do!
Start your life anew!!

You are the only one you will live with
all the days of your life.
You have an obligation to yourself.

Let me introduce you to
     Autonomy

     IN REMEMBRANCE
      OF 9/11/01

A date that will go down in history.
Why, Why, Why, is the mystery.
Why, over 2,000 people had to die,
because of some psychopath's lie.

A day we will never forget,
nor the families they beget.
A day we stood still;
Through our hearts, ran a chill.

We will remember forever,
even as we endeavor
to make life better.
We will remember forever and ever.

   SOUNDS FOR MY HEART

For the most part,
I take my music, soft and beautiful,
from and to the heart,
and yes, lyrics that are meaningful.
I like music, slow and gentle.

I love to hear sweet sounds,
sounds that surround,
bells, chimes, Galloways flute and the French harp
Kenny G., the saxophone, and even a little baroque.

More sounds I like to hear,
sounds pleasant to my ears,
are the Chinese Pipa and music box,
and the magic of Zamfer's wind pipes.
I love rhythms , rhythms of rain,
African drums and the ocean.

Sounds that lift my spirit
are cheery and joyful.
Chirping birds have merit,
and the passion of their love calls.
Oh, didn't mean to forget the loons.
And, even I, can whistle a happy tune!

When I was young, soft male voices
were pleasing to my auditory senses.
I was thrilled by Mario Lanza!
Later, I wanted "love" in every stanza--
Julio Iglesias and Englebert,
pulled the strings of my heart!

Suddenly, some female voices
touch me with their music,
soft and gentle voices,
that are oh, so expressive!
Faith Hill and Shania Twain;
Alecia Keys and Carly Simon;
and, of course, Dido Armstrong,
and the sounds of Dion!

Now, I've begun to study jazz.
Am experiencing the raz-a-ma-taz and pizzaz.
Don't know why I missed it before,
till someone opened up the door.
Just got a new collection:
John Coltrane and Billie Holiday;
Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie;
Hancock, Brubeck and Monk;
Louis and the "Duke"
To the best of my recollection.

Then, there's music for the soul.
I've been told that singing spirituals
is the highest form of prayer.
Think I'll just leave it there!

   HEAVEN ON EARTH

Such beauty here on earth,
for us, God gave birth.
It almost makes me gasp;
feel I'm in heaven, at last!

Velvet clouds overseeing
such a glorious scene.
Majestic mountains stand tall.
Oh, the beauty of it all!

Trees symbolize life, while branches
represent our connectedness.
Water, set in motion,
stirs up my emotions.

It's the water that fascinates me.
Our life blood, as it be.
For life is always moving,
swirling and changing.

And that reflection,
simply hypnotizes me.
The mirror,
reflecting the real.

What can that mean?

    LITTLE ANGEL

Welcome home sweet angel!
I'm sure you're Daddy has missed you.

Your sweet smile and sky blue eyes,
will brighten up all of his days!

How was your ride on the Amtrak train?
Here in Ohio, we've been having some rain.

Your new Mommy can't wait for you to arrive.
When she sees you, I'm sure she will cry.

She'll cry because she's so happy!
You'll light up the California Valley!

Little Angel, you're home now!
Mommy and Daddy will love you now!
They are so full of joy now!
Run and play in the sun now!!

    RAINBOW BRIDGE

The bridge of many colors,
is not ornamental, it's real.
It brings colors together
and so, I send an appeal.

Would you walk half a mile
and meet me in the middle?
I'll give you a great big smile
and put an end to this riddle.

Come and take my hand.
You can trust me till the end.
We'll color our own rainbow band,
across the span of this vast land.

Step onto the bridge,
bridge of many colors.
The Glorious Rainbow Bridge!
I'll be waiting there.

I'll be waiting there,
with my arms wide open,
waiting for you right there,
to come and let me hold you!

ANGEL ON HIGH

Standing so gloriously
on your staircase to heaven,
you watch over your angels,
to us, you have given.

You sent them to earth
to comfort and guide us.
While on our search,
your angels surround us.

They bring words from God,
send us down the right path,
push, pull, and prod us
to our dreams, at last!

Dear Angel on High,
Thank Our Lord for me.
Our Father Almighty,
has richly blessed me!

To Him go the...
Honor, glory, and Victory!!

BROWN, BROWN, BROWN

I guess I'll choose the color brown.
No one else may want it around.
Not too appealing, does it sound.

Brown makes me think of mud,
icky things like worms and bugs,
things you really don't want to hug.

Yet, I hug my friend who's brown,
and I love to have her around,
because she is really very sound.

Brown seems so very bland,
like cold oatmeal and raison bran,
things you really might not want and...

yet, it takes black and yellow to make brown,
and a tinge of red, if you have it around.
The more red and yellow, the better brown sounds.

Think of good things colored brown,
your son's hair; your duaghter's eyes, so round,
the better and better, brown sounds!

Brown, Brown, Brown
Sounds like I'll let brown stay around!!!

    THRU HIS EYES
    (Wolf Speaking)

I stand before you, my spirit unbroken
Thoughts pass between that remain unspoken
Tho, your kind brought me to the brink of extinction
Once again, I will rise to my place of distinction

I forgive your ignorance, that you could not see
All I ever wanted was the right to be
To live wild and free, as in God's great plan
Not to be destroyed by the hand of man

We both seek peace, all over our land
This we can accomplish, if we go hand-in- hand
So go now in peace, my brother
And try your best to forgive one another

     IN THE END

Have too many things to do?
Too many things on your mind?
Has everything overwhelmed you?
Just take, one step at a time,
          one thing at a time,
          one day at a time.

Trouble working something out right?
Too many things on your plate?
Set something troublesome aside.
I say, do not anticipate,
       things will fall in place,
work out in the end, I say.

Have faith, hope, and patience.
   Everything comes out
       IN THE END

     STORMS OF LIFE

Sometimes I find myself
twirling, swirling
in the turmoil of life...
rocking to and fro
out of control
till I right myself.

Sometimes I find myself
heaving, weaving
in the storms of life...
leaning left then right
riding the tide
till I calm myself.

    A WEDDING PRAYER

On your glorious day,
your life's special day,
I wish and pray,
that you may...

Be enlightened to have faith...
Be guided in the paths you take...

Feel a peace sent from above...
Feel you are always loved...

Always be free from strife...
Always have joy in your life...

May God Bless you,
All the days of your lives!

   EMBRACE THE LITTLE PEOPLE

I may be little in stature.
You might think I don't matter.

I may be little in wealth,
but, I have my mental health.

I may be small, not very tall.
You may not see me at all.

You may not know my name.
I haven't attained any fame.

I may be uneducated and simple,
but, please, don't belittle.

That makes me be gruff,
and run off in a huff.

You see, I have a heart of gold,
and not an ego, so bold.

I know God loves me,
as much as the powers that be.

So, please, don't belittle.
Embrace the little people!

    SWEET INNOCENCE

What can be more innocent,
than a sweet little girl,
praying to be blessed,
while she twirls her curls?

What can be more innocent,
than our wonderful pets,
who love without conditions?
Caring for them, is our only debt.

Thank God for innocence,
something for us to strive for.
Sweet little boys and girls; puppie and kittens,
what could we adore more?

    GET WELL WISH

I'm sorry to hear,
you're not well, my friend.
I hope time is near,
you'll feel fine, my friend.

May angels surround you,
to comfort and love you.
May God's arms wrap around you,
to protect and heal you.

I just wanted to say,
for you, I will pray,
your health be restored,
by our loving Lord.

        (Birth)

I understand you've been blessed,

     MOTHERS

Words can never express,
what Mothers mean to us.
They are the "Keepers of Life",
and thus bestowed with gifts...

Gifts of stamina, patience,
and unconditional love.
There is really no other,
that can replace your Mother.

So, cherish and adore her.
Let her know you love her.
Hold onto her,
Your one and only, Mother!

   HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, DARLING

Happy Anniversary, Darling,
I just wanted you to know:

You've made my life worth living.
You're so generous in giving,
so positive in believing.

You have a beautiful spirit,
love life and know how to live it!
My spirit, you constantly uplift!

We've been through good and bad.
You always seem to understand,
and then, take me by the hand.

Through thick and thin,
your love for me, never ends.
We always stay best friends.

So, how can I thank you, love,
except to say, you are my beloved!

   Happy Anniversary, Darling!

      FATHERS

Fathers, what is a Father?
A patriarch, with lots of power?
A bread-winner?
A problem-solver?
A family leader?
Someone factual and practical?
Someone strong, who can do no wrong?

Fathers, what is a Father?
Daughters seem to adore them.
Sons seem to compete with them.
A real Father, a good Father,
in addition to all of the above,
fills his home with love,
sings praises for his Father above!

   YOU KNOW MY WORDS

You know my words,
before I:

say them,

write them,

sing them,

pray them,

think them.

I know You do!

    SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE

Woman, take flight.
Claim your own life.
Fly from your tree,
and be what you want to be.

Go where you want to go.
Take time to learn and grow.
Don't let anyone stop you.
Your dreams are in view!

Soar like an Eagle!
Be the best you can be!
You are so regal!
Soar like an Eagle!!

    HOLD ONTO YOUR DREAMS

Hold onto your dreams.
Never let them leave,
just, continue to believe.

They may become faint,
and you may falter,
just, pray at the altar.

Try all of life's doors.
Go down every path.
Find your heart's dreams, at last!

Make them real and wonderous!
Share them with all of us!
Know that you are truly blessed!

    GOOD MORNING HUMMINGBIRD

Good morning, beautiful hummingbird!
It's lovely to see you again!
I watch you through my window.
You remind me of a helicopter.

You hover over the flowers,
wings flapping a hundred-miles-an-hour,
to taste that sweet nectar,
from your beak, so long and narrow.

I'm so glad you came around.
I can hear your humming sound.
God camouflaged you like a flower,
a delicate and brilliant flower!!

Good morning, beautiful hummingbird!
It's lovely to see you again!!

   A WOMAN'S BEST FRIEND

Sometimes, a woman's best friend,
is her canine companion,
who gives love and affection,
and loyal protection.

They can frolic and play,
appreciate treats and praise,
exchange kisses and hugs,
and faithfully trust.

Upon your homecoming,
tails wag and they come running,
greeting you with joy and happiness,
and a friendship that never ends!!

     FAMILIES

Resting by a sparkling pond,
mind bobbing to and fro,
I hummed their wedding song,
and prayed their love would grow.

Resting on a little bench,
before the blazing sunset,
I wondered about God's plans for them,
and what lives they would beget.

A graceful family of swans,
quietly glided along,
I was entranced and in awe,
wondered if I will be a Grandma.

How many new lives,
will I come to know and love,
precious lives, He gives,
before, I sing my swan song.

   PUDDY CAT, PUDDY CAT

Puddy cat, Puddy cat,
what do you see?
"Something, don't know what,
is flirting with me."

"Thought it was a flower,
till it fluttered it's wings.
Antennaie, once lowered,
zoomed in on me."

"So delicate and colorful,
I sat quite amazed,
the dancing flower,
aware of my gaze."

"Don't worry dear butterfly,
I will not harm you.
But, if you don't mind,
I'll admire your hue."

MEOW, MEOW !!

    STEADY AS SHE GOES

Shiny and new as the morning's dew,
I set out upon many adventure.
Knocks, dents and a rowdy crew,
did not impede my future!

Steady as she goes!

Violent storms and battles,
caused breakdowns and trauma;
while patient, healing restorations,
allowed for rejuvination and re-creation!

Steady as she goes!

Growing rusty and tired,
'twas time to be retired.
My stories told, my history,
floated into antiquity!

Steady as she goes!

     KEEPER OF THE LIGHT

You light my way,
every single day.
Through the storms and rath,
You guide my life's path.

You brighten the darkness,
and let my heart know,
You are with me,
wherever I may be.

When we are low,
and see your soft glow,
You're our glimmer of hope,
that helps us all cope.

Your sure and steady ray,
shows us Your way.
You are the star in our todays,
the sun in our tomorrows!

We see the Life beam.
We will follow Your lead.
You light up our lives;
make our lights shine!

Your light, we behold!
Illuminate us, Lord!!

      CHILD'S PLAY

Oh, sweet innocence,
when it's a joy to be!

Time stands still,
while we play awhile!

No worries, no cares,
just glad to be there!

Being willy-nilly,
and just plain silly!

Free as a bird flies
Stars in my eyes!

Oh, sweet innocence!!!

     WE SHALL OVERCOME

Hurled into a cold world
of abuse and misues,
I raised my heavy head,
to stand against it all,
and shouted, "I will overcome"!

Discriminated against,
in a world not mine,
I raised my heavy heart,
stood up for my rights,
and shouted, "I will overcome"!

Bullied by tyrants,
in a game of their own,
I raised my heavy soul,
took a stand alone,
and chanted, "I shall overcome"!

In a world of my own making,
free, just, and right,
I spread my wings
and beakened you to join me,
and we sang, "We shall overcome"!

   LIFE IS FOR LIVING

Sunrise, sunset,
so go the days of our lives.
Some are happy, some are sad,
some make us shiver inside!

Sunset, sunrise,
the days go flying by.
Sunny or cloudy, windy or calm,
such are the days of our lives!

Sunrise, sunset,
days together, days apart,
win or lose, good or bad,
we need the warmth of love in our hearts!

Sunset, sunrise,
days for giving, or forgiving,
days to be silly or wise.
All of life is for living!!

Sunrise, sunset,
such are the days of our lives!

      PONDERING

In the still of the night,
I take my solitude,
to contemplate
the mysteries of life.

I ponder about
new life, death, loss,
violence and freedom,
and the meaning of it all.

I ponder about
progress and ageing,
continued evolution,
and that everything changes.

I ponder about
disparities in maturity
levels between peoples,
and what is the purpose.

I ponder about
love, hope and happiness,
how to bring world peace,
and establish utopias.

In the still of the night,
I take my solitude,
to contemplate
the mysteries of life.

    HEARTS IN A ROW

Oh, how I love to hear
from my friends, so dear,
whether by e-mail,
or metal boxes that do not fail.

Oh, how I love
to keep in touch
with those I love
so much!

Mail boxes lined up in a row...
souls touching souls.
It's a small world
when hearts unfurl!

Hearts from many nations,
connect in friendship
many races, with elation!
God bless the internet!

Oh, how I love
to keep in touch
with those I love
so much!!!

     CHRISTMAS DAY

Twas the day of Christmas!!
My heart was all aflutter,
cause Grandma and Grandpa were coming.
I loved them like no others.

They were sweet and kind
and fun to be with.
They taught me and loved me
and shared their beliefs.

Grandpa was so cheery,
with a Santa nose and red cheeks.
I watched for their car till my eyes became blurry.
Perched on a stone wall, I listened for their beep.

Our house was warm and cozy.
Dinner, with all the trimmings, was waiting.
Beep, beep, I heard their horn!
Christmas was the day "LOVE" was born!!

    HIS WILL BE DONE

Living one day at a time,
not knowing the outcome,
living on the edge,
uncertain what will be next.

Taking one step at a time,
moment by tense moment,
a small ray of hope
energizes and makes you soar!

One decision at a time,
hour by dreaded hour,
one slight set-back,
takes you straight to hell!

Just keep going towards the light,
and everything will be alright.
Hope, pray, and TRUST,
His will, will be done!!

     SYMBIOSIS

....Socrates and Plato
....George Burns and Gracie Allen
....Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis

Ever been in a symbiotic relationship?
..could be your sister, brother, or even Mother,
..could be a friend or your lover.

I have experienced symbiosis,
with several people from my past.
It's wonderful, beautiful and glorious!

We had the same philosophies and goals.
We shared everything in our souls.
We knew each others thoughts before they were told.

God sends these saints to me.
It is destiny that we meet.
The symbiosis is so sweet!

Each new relationship,
seems better than the last,br>because the dye is cast.

The wisdom of my years,
gives faith, hope, light, and truth,
and brings new and pure symbiosis>br   centered in
      Love
      and
      Peace!Copyright 2002 by Margaret I. Walker

    THE ROAD AHEAD

I've been down many a road,
and God has helped carry my load.
But, all that is in the past,
and only the good times, hold fast.

The future is so unknown,
but, I have no doubts,
that He will walk beside me..
so, Whatever will be, will be..
Que sera, sera!!

     BROKEN HEART

My heart is broken,
it hurts inside.
Words now unspoken
and sadness resides.

We shared so much.
We're both good people.
Our lives did touch
and we shared His steeple.

Why must you leave
and cause me to grieve?
We exchanged tokens.
Now, my heart is broken.

There's now a huge hole
left in my soul.
You chose to depart,
and have broken my heart.

     MAKE WAR EXTINCT

You are the thunder.
You are the lightning.
You have the power
and we are listening.

You are the stars.
You are the moon.
You decide our tomorrows;
erase gloom and doom.

You are the sun.
You are the rain.
You sent Your Son
to ease our pain.

Almighty creator
of all that exists,
please do us a favor
and open our fists.

War solves nothing;
let it cease to exist.
War solves nothing;
make it extinct.

   A DELICATE FLOWER

You are a delicate flower,
so sweet and beautiful.
You make me bow.

Each and every petal,
was hand-crafted by God.
You are so kind and gentle.

Whenever you are in a dither,
remember, life is for living.
Please, do not fade and wither.

     FRAZZLED

Oh, geez, why did I stay up so late?
Lately, it seems to be my fate..
and oh, all those late-night snacks I ate,
I'll tip the scales, at this rate.

Oh, man, my eyes are all blurry...
trying to learn about my new puter, in a hurry.
Morning already...and I'm all scuzzy
and my brain's a bit fuzzy.

Oh well, I did learn some new things..
sigs and gifs, voice and cam things..
Toured Windows XP and the PSP things..
Is there no end to all these things??

Well, I best get on with my day..
cause tonight I have to play..
defrag and clean out the cache..
before the dawning of a new day.

I know I'm a bit frazzled..
but I'm simply dazzled
by all these technical things
that keep me deprived of sleep.

I guess it's a good time to explore,
cause winter is getting to be a bore.
I'll move on to other things,
when the flowers come out in Spring!!

    FREEDOM

Ah, freedom..
we often take it for granted,
mostly, because we have it!

We're free to:

Climb a tree,
give a smile,
or run a mile.
Make a decree,
have a child,
or laugh outloud.
Sing and dance,
plant some flowers,
or say a prayer.
Jump up and down,
swim in the ocean,
or love someone.

Oh, sweet freedom...
Thank God, we have it!

     THANK YOU, LORD

Where would we be without others?
Mothers, brothers and lovers
Sisters, children and friends
till the end.

Oh, I like some solitude..
time to be alone and contemplate.
But, Oh how lonely it would be
without ever a friendly face to see.

We're all so interconnected
in this time of the internet.
Without love and friendship,
we might cease to exist.

Thank you, Lord
for fulfilling our every need
and giving us....
each other.

    GIRLFRIENDS

There is nothing like having girlfriends;
women who really understand.
You know what I'm talking about,
the ones we can't do without.

The ones who cheer us on a gloomy day,
The ones who invite us to come out and play,
The ones who stand with us through thick and thin,
The ones who share everything from within.

These girlfriends are our true friends.
They halp guide us until the end.
They are caring, loving and generous,
with personalities so wonderful and consistant.

We are always there for each other,
as though we were each other's Mothers.
Through good times and bad,
we offer a helping hand.

We are so very glad
to travel across the land,
just to hold each other's hands.
There is nothing like having girlfriends!!

    LORD, GRANT ME PEACE

Oh Lord,
please grant me a little peace!

I'm getting so tired and weary...
don't know if I can keep up with the pace.

The pace of life, is so often out of our control.
We roll with the punches and go with the flow.

But, please, Lord, give me some respite...
just a little time to rest and unwind.

Let me go to a place quiet and serene.
Refresh my soul and spirit and be there for me.

I love you with all my heart.
Promise you'll never part.

Thank you, my Lord and Savior,
for doing me this favor!

    BUTTERFLY LADY

I sit among the butterflies,
products of metamorphosis.
Like them, I've matured....
changed by the magic of nature.

My trials and tribulations,
now cause celebration!
I've been transformed....
completely trust in our Lord.

I will spread my wings....
give praise as I sing,
flutter round the world
and tell of His love.

  nbspCOME INTO MY GARDEN

Please come and join me
in my beautiful garden
It's a wonderful place to be,
the closest to paradise I've ever seen.

Come sit with me awhile.
Leave your cares and worries at the door.
Surround yourself with gorgeious flowers.>br>Be filled with the scent of lavender.

Come have a spot of tea with me.
We'll talk of only good things....
remembering how it used to be,
and exchange friendship rings.

Come into my Garden of Paradise.
Listen to the sounds of peace.
Breathe in fresh and new life.
Worries, stress, and strife...release.

Come and sit with me awhile,
in my Garden of Paradise.
We'll wile away the hours
and pretend nothing else exists.

   CITY OF LOVE

I'm sitting here alone,
in the city known for lovers.
Violins are playing melodic tones,
serenading lovers in gondolas.

My dancing shoes are untried,
and my violin sits at rest.
I dream of being your bride,
That is my quest.

Tis you that makes my heart dance.
Come and sit with me.
Tis you that plays the strings of romance.
Come and serenade me.

    MR. SUN

I'm so tired of cold and gloomy days.
Can't wait for summer sunny days!

I want to ride my bike again!
I want to fly a kite again!

Winter is good for dreaming and making plans...
but, now I want to play in the sand!

I want to jump and run!
Please come out Mr. Sun.

   "Come out, come out,
   wherever you are".

Little Johnny wants some sun...
to romp and play in and have some fun!!

    ON A FAST TRAIN

I'm on a fast train to somewhere,
but, I don't know quite where.

I've felt the need for change coming on,
but, so far, I've been just rocking back and forth.

My life's been chug, chug, chugging along.
I don't know if I've been on the right track for so long.

I finally decided to make the break,
hopped on a fast train, with hope, everything will turn out great!

It's an adventure and so exciting.
My heart's beating in time with the engine!

My past is flying by and my future is coming into view,
just as I hear the whistle toot, toot, tooting!

We're pulling into a station somewhere....
doesn't matter where...I'll begin again, here!!

   THE WORLD WILL BE AGLOW

In my mind, the world is aglow:
Aglow with hope for a better future.
Aglow from men and women who will nuture.

In my mind's eye, I see a new world,
made by good people who make positive changes,
and aren't afraid to rearrange things.

This new world is sparked by various catalysts.
It is marked by friendship loyalty, and love.
It's plans were made long ago, from above!

Stages of evolution bring higher stages of morality.
All the people of the world will hold hands,
and evil will be rooted out across the lands.

We will have "Heaven on Earth"

The World will be Aglow!
