GP HIROSHIMA 2006-08-22 Shuuhei Nakamura es el ganador del Grand Prix Hiroshima 2006. Este japonés de 24 años está en racha, después de adjudicarse hace un par de semanas el Grand Prix St. Louis. Su mayor éxito hasta ahora había sido quedar segundo en el Pro Tour Columbus 2005, perdiendo la final ante la Affinity de Pierre Canalli, pilotando una Red Deck Wins de las de antes. Ahora
se coloca como un firme candidato al Player of the year Race, siempre y
cuando mantenga este nivel durante el resto de la temporada. La
verdad es que el torneo deja un sabor un tanto amargo, pues tan solo 416
jugadores lo disputaron. Esto da que pensar, ya que Japón es el país puntero
en Magic, cosa que no demuestra en este tipo de eventos con participaciones
tan pobres. En Europa nos solemos reunir más de 1000 jugadores en los GPs. De
entre todos esos jugadores, apenas 10 eran extranjeros, de los cuales, 3 se
colaron en el top 8, entre ellos el excampeón del mundo Julien Nuijten, de
tan solo 17 años (cuando ganó el mundial nos sorprendió por su edad, 15
años). Lo que demuestra el poco interés que despierta este torneo en Japón.
Una pena. En
cualquier caso, enhorabuena a Shuuhei Nakamura por sus recientes éxitos. Este
