YOUR ASSESSMENT:

• Exams comprise 60% of the marking period grade.
• "Work" (Homework & Classwork) will comprise 20% of the marking period grade. Points will be deducted for late work and insufficient preparation for class.
• Laboratory work and reports comprise the remaining 20% of the marking period grade. Safety is of first and foremost importance in the lab. Safety violations will have a detrimental effect on your grade. Laboratory reports are to include the following sections: title, purpose, materials, procedure, data, observations, calculations, discussion, and conclusion. All calculations must be shown, and interpretations of graphs and percent error calculations should be included in the discussion section when applicable.
• Late assignments will be charged -10 points per school day.
• AN "EXTRA" CUMULATIVE EXAM will be offered during the last five days of each MARKING PERIOD.
  This will provide an extra score into the exam average.

• It is your responsibility to complete all material (from any of the three aforementioned categories) regardless of attendance. Make-up time will be allotted based upon the number of days missed, complexity/length of assignment(s), and/or nature of special circumstances. Typically, one day for one day.
• Maintain a 3-RING NOTEBOOK and a scientific calculator!
