Dear Mr. Wenger,

I am writing to you in response to correspondence I have had with PennDot, West Earl Township, and Representative Zimmerman concerning congestion at the intersection of Route 222 and Route 772 and in particular the lack of formal representation my township seems to have to be able to remedy the situation. Per Mr. Luta's letter, the township supervisors ultimately have only "an advisory role" in state road improvements, which is evident since PennDOT previously turned down an offer of donated land to be able to build a new northbound exit ramp at the intersection in the future.

Is this the way it is supposed to work? Who represents the people who are affected by these decisions on a daily basis? I have to believe that since the township can not effectively represent us in this type of situation that you are the person best situated to resolve these concerns. Would you please review the attached correspondence and let me know what ways you will facilitate long term improvements for the intersection(s) in question. Thank-you so much for your attention to this matter.
