| The board voiced disapproval with $3300 in charges from HRG Inc. (Construction Manager) on the Farmersville Road Project due to reconstructing catch basins. At the meeting the board stated that the board had inspected the catch basins during construction and had told HRG that they were unacceptable and that HRG did not follow-through until afterwards and that is what caused the additional charges. At the meeting HRG decided to absorb the charges due to their policy of customer satisfaction. The board approved a winter maintenance agreement with Hurst for Country Circle - $150 per plow, $75 per salting, for this winter only. The board denied a request for extension of final plan for the Akron School House Project (the zoning permit had expired). The board denied a request of waivers of the plan processing procedures and stormwater management plan requirements for Service Supply Corp.. The board approved waivers for the Noah G. Reiff Preliminary Plan (see agenda). Police Chief Brandt stated to the board that the township received a $75,000 grant from the federal government (one of President Clinton's final executive orders) for additional police officer(s). It will be 6-8 weeks until he knows the details of the grant. |
