    1. Russ MacNair and Gail Robinson from CDM would like to brief the Board on the ACT 537 Plan update.

  4. Approval of Minutes, May 12, 2003, Regular Meeting

  5. Subdivision/Land Development
    .
    1. "Unofficial" minutes from the May 20th Planning Commission meeting.
    2. Stauffer Diesel, Inc. – The applicant is requesting that planning approval be deferred to Ephrata Township. The Planning Commission recommended that planning be deferred to Ephrata Township, except for storm water management.
    3. Melvin Burkholder – Mr. Burkholder is requesting a waiver of the land development requirements for the placement of a mobile home. The Planning Commission recommended that the land development requirements for the mobile home be waived, contingent upon sewage being approved by the SEO.
      The Zoning Officer is also recommending that Mr. Burkholder sign an agreement to remove the trailer after six months.
    4. Keith Graham – Mr. Graham is asking for a waiver of the storm water management requirement and the land development process. The Planning Commission has recommended both of these waivers.

    1. Consideration of Ordinance No. 168, amending Chapter 184, Zoning, to revise regulations governing family farm support businesses.
    2. Consideration of Ordinance No. 166, amending the Code of Ordinances to add a new Chapter 16, Fire Companies, to recognize the volunteer fire companies providing fire protection services within the Township and their relief and auxiliary associations; to authorize activities of the fire companies and members of the fire companies for the purpose of defining public fire fighting duties; and to provide additional protection to fire fighters under the Workers’ Compensation Law and the Governmental Immunity Act and eligibility for benefits under the Pennsylvania State Death Benefit Act and the Police Officer, Firefighter, Correction Employee and National Guard Member Child Beneficiary Education Act.
    3. Consideration of Resolution No. 2003-17, assigning first-due response territory to the volunteer fire companies recognized by the Township.

    1. Letter from Josele regarding the Water Authority’s Note Modification Agreement.
    2. Consideration of Resolution No. 2003-23, approving the execution of the Water Authority’s Note Modification Agreement.
    3. Consideration of Ordinance No. 169, incurring non-electoral debt in the amount of $2,000,000 to provide funds for the refinancing of the Township’s debt, and to pay costs related to that refinancing.
