- Consideration of Ordinance No. 166, an ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances of the Township of West Earl to add a new Chapter 16, Fire Companies, to recognize the volunteer fire companies providing fire protection services within the Township and their relief and auxiliary associations; to authorize activities of the fire companies and members of the fire companies for the purpose of defining public fire fighting duties; and to provide additional protection to fire fighters under the Workers’ Compensation Law and the Governmental Immunity Act and eligibility for benefits under the Pennsylvania State Death Benefit Act and the Police Officer, Firefighter, Correction Employee and National Guard Member Child Beneficiary Education Act.
