The following pictures are from Earth Day 2007 at our local Zoo. We did a recycled paper demonstration for zoo guests and also allowed them to participate in making Earth Friendly crafts. We made flower pots from recycled soup cans and decorated them with foam stickers and crayons. We also made compost containers as well. We all had a blast and so did the kids participating. At the end of our time doing crafts we were allowed to tour the zoo as a "Thank you" from the zoo for helping out. This will be a staple on our calendar of events for years to come. |
