Hubble Space Telescope   B.Wright 1991

Hubble Space Telescope was a very pleasant surprise for me here in the new garden.  I have two clumps of it in different parts of the yard and they both grew outstandingly well.   The magenta purple  horns point upwards  towards the sky  in what makes for a very unusual and  beautiful  guest in the main iris bed.  It's an iris that I plan to grow for the rest of my life.  I only just found out that this was Hubble Space Telescope, I  recieved it  labeled from Sutton's as Howdy Do but couldn't be happier about having this since it's supposedly an Arilbred. I'll check to see if it was registered as an AB or a TB.    For what it's worth, Hubble Space Telescope set 3 good pods for me in 2002.  Only a few seeds  germinated but I'm crossing my fingers that more will germinate in 2004.  Below is an analysis of the parentage from Donald  Eaves of  Texas.

Donald Eaves wrote on Iris Photos:

 "Hubble Space Telescope
 80-130:(Sdlg. x Dresden Gold) X Abu Zabad

DRESDEN GOLD is also an arilbred. An OGB commonly referred to as a
halfbred. ABU ZABAD is an OGB+, or more than half. With that as
the parentage, HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE would be an arilbred
genetically with at least an OGB- classification, commonly referred
to as quarterbreds, and possibly even an OGB even if the seedling
was a TB. Has HST been used as a parent?"
