Daisy's Page
I always had reservations about creating Daisy's
page since she was only with us a short time. She was pure joy, and
sadly captured Snowballs heart before she disappeared one foggy night.
What was already a tough day turned worse when she snuck out one evening
and refused to come back when I called her. I knew she was in the
woods on the other side of the ditch but she had just started being independent
and disobedient and tried her best to stay out all night. That
night I slept lightly in case she returned but was woken up by a terrible
scream. My worst fears became a reality and Daisy was attacked and
taken away by some wild animal. Probably the coons or a wild dog.
Snowball waited for days for his sweetheart to return but she never did.
We are still very sad, since she was perfect around the kids and a fine companion for Snowball. Our new cats aren't allowed outside, there are too many predators. Snowball is well aware of the dangers and rarely leaves the porch at night. At times when Daisy would return late at night, Snowball would become very angry and aggressive with her and chase her up the stairs and in to the house. He was trying to give her a warning.
We miss you Daisy !!!!
