Babbling Brook x Thornbird

Many would think, why would anybody ever want to make a cross like this ?  My first goal was to breed any  Space Age seedlings so I crossed whatever was available and these two Dykes medal winners produced an impressive pod with almost 70 seeds.   Unfortunately however, the seedlings don't grow with the vigor you'd expect and Thornbird seedlings, with some exceptions have been noted to be very poor growers.  Still, after 6 years of waiting for some of these to bloom, some of the didn't disappoint .  Colors ranged from white with yellow shoulders to purple with a few ghostly looking one.  Appendage rate was about 50 % or so.
