Cruisin' The World in First Grade
All aboard! We are getting ready to set sail on a cruise around the world. Our year long trip will take us to far off, exciting places where we will learn all about the weather, land formations, people, animals and natural resources found in each country. Take a look at our travel itenirary:
 
 
August
Before we set sail on our cruise, we will study the ocean and the animals that live there.
September
As we tell our friends and family goodbye, we will be studying about the places in the United States where our friends and family reside.
October
We begin our cruise by sailing to Africa to learn about the animals, plant life, weather, land formations, and natural resources. We will also learn about ancient egypt. 
November
Our next stop will be a visit to England. We will also be learning about this country's animals, plant life, weather, land formations, and natural resources. We will be discussing how the United States won its freedom and what it means to be patriotic.
December
With the Christmas season upon us, we will visit Italy, Russia, and Germany and learn about how the people celebrate Christmas.
January
Mexico will be our next stop on our cruise. We will be learning about this country's animals, plant life, weather, land formations, and natural resources.
February 
We will visit a close neighbor of ours - Canada. We will learn about how our lives compare to theirs. We will also be learning about this country's animals, plant life, weather, land formations, and natural resources.
March
Next we will see the sights of Austraila,  learning about this country's animals, plant life, weather, land formations, and natural resources.
April
The last stop on our cruise will be South America where we will experience the rainforests in all their beauty. 
May
We will spend our last month reminiscing about our trip and recalling all the interesting things we've learned.
