Age: 29 (Oh, so young!)

Description:

• They rolled into this pretty coastal kingdom like a breaker onto the beach. Five fantastic beings who were larger than life and as beautiful as gods.
• The King, Glorin of Edlyn, was astounded when these obviously noble individuals arrived dressed in sumptuous clothing and dripping in jewels. He hosted them and entertained them for over a year.
• Then Edlyn was attacked by raiders from the north. Bronwen and her friends rallied Glorin’s people and helped to rout the enemy with incredible individual prowess. The day was known as Harabed’s day as the battle took place on a cairn named Harabed’s Hill.
• Benedicta didn’t fight but Bronwen and the others were each knighted by Glorin for their efforts. Since then the land to the north has been claimed by Edlyn and four new earldoms have been carved out of the wilderness for Bronwen, Hector, Tristan and Orin.
• Bronwen began to build a castle but grew restless after two years. Whilst they return often they are no longer permanent residents.
• Edlyn remains the glue between the group and when relationships strain they often return to Glorin’s court to unwind and re-cement their ties.

Age: 34

Description:

• This was Bronwen’s creation, a world of spires and minarets of pearly marble. This is and empire on the sea with great harbours and ships from many nations. This is an Amber in shadow.
• Bronwen didn’t want to ride in like gods this time so she rode up some trading gear and they bravely set out to trade their way to greatness. It wasn’t easy, they cheated several times but eventually hit their mark in horse trading.
• Because it usually takes many guards to protect a herd of horses Bronwen’s group were able to cut costs by guarding them, very successfully, themselves.
• After a year they were rich and Bronwen and Orin were enamoured with the rich culture of Korranis. The others wanted to return to Amber so Bronwen took them home and endured almost two weeks of parental disapproval before she turned to Orin for comfort.
• The sexual tension that had been building between them finally boiled over and Bronwen took him back to Korranis. They explored the city and each other for a year and worked themselves into positions of some regional power. Their affair cooled towards the end of the year, mainly because Bronwen wanted to bring the others back.
• Bronwen did return with the others and gave Benedicta a beautiful harbour side house with full staff and full closets. Tristan was angry with Bronwen for having left him behind but after a trip to Edlyn the group returned to Korranis and remained for nearly four years.
• Eventually they left (Orin was restless) but Bronwen spends at least four or five months a year in Korranis and has a fully maintained house and staff who maintain the business and properties.

Age: 42

Description:

• The party had caught a severe strain of flu and Hector was badly affected. Bronwen, hallucinating from fever, tried to find a place to heal. What she found was the enchanted forest of Vennes.
• The party collapsed and all but Bronwen passed out. Soon after their arrival strange, furry bear-like creatures arrived on the scene. They pressed some strange mushrooms into people’s mouths and Bronwen was so weak she didn’t fight it.
• She hallucinated for days but when she woke she was free of the flu.
• Everyone was well within a few days and they thanked the forest for their survival but they never saw the furry creatures again.
• Most of Bronwen’s friends believe she hallucinated the furry guys but she remains adamant.

Age: 43

Description:

• This was Bronwen’s first world with non-humans. The majority of the population are winged and scaled. There are, however, human like creatures and the society produces many half breeds.
• Bronwen was frightened at first but encouraged the others to live a little and be adventurous. The group settled in and soon found that they felt comfortable in the rambling streets of the capital, Killain.
• They soon were able to impress themselves on the local warlords and became society darlings. Killainians were very impressed by physical prowess as well and soon Bronwen and Tristan were in charge of military forces and learning how to command flying troops.
• The culture of the Killainians is very like the culture of New Orleans. The melting pot of cultures has given rise to a fierce city pride and a strongly unified people.
• Bronwen enjoyed her stay here and loved the parties and wild summer nights. Orin fell in love with the place and has several times been left behind when the others leave to continue travelling.

Age: 54 (Old enough to know better)

Description:

• Deep in a heavily forested alpine region an range of rugged ice peaks juts from the green sward. On the side of one of these peaks stands Claremont, a fairytale castle with a fairytale Prince.
• This is Bronwen’s hideaway. When she arrived she was looking for romance and adventure, she found it. The castle was covered in cobwebs and overgrown and a sickly magical gleam lay on it.
• Bronwen didn’t bring the others with her as they were happy in Edlyn.
• Moving with the Pattern and intuition she tried to remove the magical glamour from the castle. She found herself drawn to throne room of the castle.
• On the throne was a decrepit old man, frozen in time. As she walked towards him she felt it was on him that the magic centred. She tried to remove it, but seemed to fail
• When she arrived next to the throne and saw him still sitting, frozen she reached over and kissed him. Like a fairytale, the spell ended and the man on the throne begin to revive -–and grow youthful.
• He looked at Bronwen in amazement and told her his tale.
• He had been trapped by a wizard after a long struggle and, due to his noble blood had been spared from death. The wizard, however, was not happy with a Prince left free to raise rebellion so he took him back to his castle and cursed him to wither and age and remain like stone until a woman of high birth and supreme beauty should come and kiss his aged countenance.
• The Prince despaired as his face wrinkled with age and the spell took hold. He never believed the spell could be broken.
• Bronwen took his hand as he promised to serve her forever. She told him she would settle for his hospitality.
• The Prince’s name is Fraine and Bronwen was enchanted by the place and its Prince. It turned out some two hundred years had passed and history had forgotten him so Bronwen got some people from shadow to build the region up again. She brought her friends to Claremont shortly after and they have enjoyed becoming local fixtures. When the story begins she has been living in and around Claremont for nearly six years.
• Although she has refused proposals of marriage from Fraine she loves him dearly and has made Claremont her home. Still, though, the road calls her forward and her wanderlust is growing.
