Our dear, dear David, you will be greatly missed by this household. I think Tisha summed David up the best last night when she said, "Mommy, Uncle David was just like a Great Big Teddy Bear." When we first met David we were strolling the streets of St. Augustine and Tisha was very shy. He scooped her up and gave her a big burly hug and told her he loved her. That was our David.
David loved life with all its struggles and trials and tribulations. He was compassionate and understanding with everyone. He loved his family more than life itself. And he left this mortal world doing what he liked to do best, being there for someone else.
Having lost my father recently, who was very much like our David, I understand the pain that Courtney will endure. But endure she will because David is so much a part of who she is.
I cannot even begin to know the pain that Cheryl will experience. How devastating to loose your mother and husband at the same time. She and David were each others world. My heart goes out to her.
The pain that Agape will experience due to the loss of "Our David" will be with us forever. When we needed to move on with things, he pushed us forward. When people were being petty and childish, he told them so. When people suffered losses, he nurtured their spirits.
David, our Teddy Bear.
My love to you always,
Melissa

MOST IMBARASSKIN THING....
One night (a while back) I was waiting for the bus to
come and pick me up. It was cold, snowy, and windy.
Wanted to get inside somewhere and get warm..when all
of a sudden, who should appear..my brother! I ran up to
his jeep, opened the door (was waiting for a red light!!)
and hopped in! Looked at my brother and was about to say
"Will you give me a lift?" When I noticed....he ain't my brother!
We just sat there a few seconds wondering who would attack
first. I told him he looked just like my brother, and that
my brother had a jeep just like this one. I was so red in the
face! I got out of the jeep, and went back to my corner.
As I stood there thinking if anyone had seen this, and thinking
about why he didn't offer me a ride to work, when it hit
me.......
My brother had sold his jeep YEARS before....what the hell
was I thinking!! I musta been one cold soul!!! Never, will
I jump into a car without first making sure I really know the
person inside. Thank God he didn't have a gun!! LOL!!
Just thought you'd like my story. I sure liked yours! Talk about
opening your mouth and sticking your foot into it! What did
the guy say after he said "yes". Did he understand where
you were coming from? It reminds me of a time I asked my co-worker
why he was so sad looking...you look like some one killed
them self or something. Only later to find out, his father and
commited suicide. EEK! He thought I had known, and was
being mean, but I honestly didn't know, and never will I say that
to someone again.
Here's a question...
Didja ever wish for something that would not likely to happen, and have it happen
the next day?
Be well! David

Subject: scars??
Bridget, you are talking to the SCAR KING!!!
I think I have a scar on every part (well, almost heehee)
of my bod. Lets start at the....
FEET: Stepped on a broken bottle during a rain storm.
Couldn't see the glass in a mud puddle. (No, I didn't
break the bottle! LOL)
KNEE: Fell so many times on my knees, I can't remember which
scar was first, or 10th! LOL!
ABDOMEN: Had my appendix taken out. This sister of one
of my friends kicked me in the gut, and 2 days later, I went
to the hosp with emerg. appendicitis.
TUMMY: Again I fell! On a metal 6 inch fence post that was broken.
Just a little blood. LOL!
CHEST: Open heart surgery. Was 10, and had to have my aortic
valve reopened.
HAND: Between left index and thumb I have a little scar from
trying to catch a falling ashtray that had the corner of it
broke off. ( No, I didn't break that either!LOL)
FINGER #9 (Right Ring) Cut the he|| out of it.
LEFT THUMB: The can opener attacked me!
FOREHEAD: Countless times I fell, and had to have stitches
there. Fell out of trees, fell because of the cracks in the
sidewalks(LOL!!), you name it, I fell over it! LOL!!
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST....
TOP OF HEAD: ( I know I will be razed on this one..)
Fell out of tree, landed head first on a metal strip that kept
the ground from wearing away. Hurt like a devil!
Well Bridget, YOU ASKED!!!!!!!
