JOSHUA KOVACH

Joshua Kovach, clarinet, is a prominent free-lance artist in the Delaware Valley. He received both his Bachelor's
and Master's degree in clarinet performance from Temple University, studying with Ronald Reuben of the
Philadelphia Orchestra. Other outstanding teachers have been Mordecai Appelbaum, Donald Montanaro and David Weber.
He is a member of the Reading Symphony Orchestra, an extra member of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra,
has appeared with the Curtis Institute of Music (on tour to Verbier, Switzerland), the Casals Festival,
the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (formerly Concerto Soloists), Philadelphia Classical Symphony and
the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, among others. Joshua has also appeared in many recitals and is looking
forward to a contemporary music recital with his father at Temple's Rock Hall, featuring the music of
Weesner, Hindemith, Stravinsky, and Bartok.
Notable conductors who Josh has performed with include James Levine, Kurt Masur, Yuri
Temirkanov, and Sir Neville Marriner, among many others.
