Welcome to the official unofficial Brian Bromberg page. Brian Bromberg is a jazz bass player, a very good one at that! These pages are designed to give you as much informatioin about him (I'm not him) as possible. There is a bio, album information, where to find his albums, concert information (none at the moment but hopefully soon), and more. A brief overview of the latest news is on the right with links that will give you more detailed information. You can also explore all of the areas in the site by using the navigation area to the left.

Please feel free to browse around, hopefully everything is arranged so that it makes sense. Give me some feedback if you have constructive criticism and an example of how it can be improved. Rudeness or "I don't like the colors" without an idea to improve it will just be put in the trash. So have fun, learn about Brian, listen to the sound clips (available in the album section) and go see him in concert.

News

(11/14) - There is a lot going on so here are some updates:

First, there is a new song out called "Relentless" that several people have asked me about. Brian wrote and recorded it for the Smooth Jazz Awards Collection CD. The song is currently #11 on the charts. They are shopping for a new record deal for Brians new album. Brian has already written all of the music so once they have a deal he will probably start recording right away. Brian also just finished an album in a trio including David Benoit and Greg Bissonette that has been released on Vertical Jazz, a jazz label out of New York.

Brian has also been busy producing several albums. Brian co-wrote and produced "Hyde Park" by Jeff Kashiwa which has been #1 on the charts for the past two weeks. Brian is currently producing Richard Smith's new record. He also just finished production on albums for two new artists, Turning Point (a smooth jazz band) and Orna Shifren (a jazz singer). Brian also just edited a track for Sheila E on her new album which should be out as a single in the next few months.

Brian will be performing with Herbie Hancock in December (a closed event - no tickets available) and he will be performing with his band at the Newport Jazz Festival in Orange County on May 19, 2001 (I'm going to guess that he will probably be in the Lionel Hampton Jazz festival as well but his manager didn't mention it so it is purely a guess on my part). As you can see, Brian has been very busy but hopefully we will have a new album and a tour to enjoy in the near future.

Albums

(5/18) - The latest release from Brian Bromberg is called "Collection Vol. I" which has a selection of 14 tracks from his first four albums: A New Day, Basses Loaded, Magic Rain, and Bassically Speaking. This is probably in high demand (if past e-mails requesting older material availability are any indication of demand) so you might want to contact Brians agent soon to get your copy. The cost is (US)$15 plus shipping and handling. Go to the album page for further information about which tracks are included.

Brians newest song "Relentless" reaches #11 on the charts.

New bio and one concert date.
