I ran across a quote the other day (yes, on the internet):
"CNN Headline News" Now the screen is crammed with changing information. It's like the Internet but so much less."
All I can add is: What were they thinking? Not that "Headline News" was any thing really to write home about before, but now it's pretty much unbearable. Almost as useless as a web page.
My favorite part? No, not that they show the weather forecast in various parts of the country in some random order (after you've seen it once it's pretty much a waste of about 1/4 of the screen), not that they put little bits of whatever story they are blabbing about up on the left hand corner next to the picture (if you're listening to them talk, that's another 1/4 of the screen that's wasted), no, my favorite part:
They show the time in each time zone. 11:05 ET, 10:05 CT, 9:05 MT, 8:05 PT... over and over. Right in the middle. If you forget what time zone your in: check the time, and whichever one it matches is the time zone you are in. Of course they don't include Alaska or Hawaii, I guess Alaskans and Hawaiians are too smart to watch.
