| Thursday, 13th January 2003 Well, Im still yet to see an art exhibition, but I do own the best book ever published!! Kurt Cobain Journals is officially my favourite book. Its 2:47am and yesterday I stayed awake for 20 hours straight (well, it was a combined effort of yesterday and the previous). Ive been up watching the four videos we hired. All were good except for one. It was yet another Shakespeare modern-day adaptation with Julia Stiles. Whilst I thought Ten things I hate about You and O were OK, this movie differed. I really dont think that you can successfully put Hamlet into a modern day scenario and still use the original writings. The story is great and was the first ever work of Shakespeares that I read, but this movie was a total piece of trash. It was a nice idea and all, but one that just cant be done. The only entertaining part was at the beginning when the billboard of Hamlets fathers company was Denmark, instead of Goldmark. I couldnt watch it all, it wrecked the story. Shortly after Hamlet sore the apparition of his father, I changed the video. My very close friend Ashley is leaving for America in a matter of days if not already. I was suppose to be going to the airport with her to see her off, but I forgot what day she told me she leaves and I havent talked to her in a while. Im so stupid. I have homework, but Im too lazy to do most of it. The essay I have to write for History though, thats not entirely laziness I wouldnt have a clue what I am supposed to write. I really feel like getting up on a stage and doing some acting right now. I crave it more than anything. I cant find any plays to act in thats the problem. Im supposed to be doing two this year with a local community group, but I want to do something more challenging and on a more professional level. I suppose by the end of the year Ill be eating my words. School will keep me busy enough to stop me from thinking about my hopes, dreams and desires. *sigh* Bre. |
