Geometry Dash Subzero

Instructions

Silent Club is a 1.5/1.6/2.1 previous impossible solo Extreme Demon built by Play 1107696 (blackP2Sfull in-game), who unofficially validated it. This level is noteworthy for kicking off the 'Silent levels' trend, and it is one of only two levels in the series that have been truly defeated. It is also the oldest-rated Extreme Demon, released on April 1, 2014.

Luqualizer certified the unnerfed version on October 29, 2020, after being unbeaten lawfully for over six and a half years. He did this on the 1.9 GDPS (Geometry Dash Private Server)[1], as the unnerfed version is incompatible with 2.1 owing to broken stacked orbs. Luqualizer began grinding a corrected version of the level that functioned in the current game update in early April 2021, cleaning up the orb spam portion by 46%, eliminating a hidden shortcut, and fixing the layered orbs. He confirmed and uploaded the corrected version on April 24, 2021, and the level was graded on the same day.

The completion of the level sparked a heated debate over the likelihood of defeating the other Silent levels, resulting in a rush of impossible level completions, culminating in the verification of Silent clubstep.

History

The level was launched on April 1, 2014, implying an elaborate April Fools' Day joke, and was graded by RobTop. Following its publishing, the level drew outrage due to its severe difficulty. It was the first Demon to hold the top spot in the early days of the Geometry Dash Demonlist, overtaking Stereo Demoness in 2014.[2] Only a few players could reach more than 10% (Crack held the world record at the time, with 15%).[3]

Eventually, the level lost its rating owing to a rumored hidden method. It was also removed from the list since its completion was unauthorized. Despite this, several gamers tried to defeat it. Zobros completed 52-100%,[4] stating it was an easy assignment and 'not even hard' in the video of his run. On May 30, 2015, Dark Sary increased the world record to 23%.[5] Riot is the first person to defeat the first spam legitimately on broadcast.[6] Even with those runs, the level slipped into oblivion as other popular Silent levels like Silent clubstep, Silent Circles, and Death Corridor emerged, and focus turned to them.

On December 13, 2017, the player SrGuillester (who also beat 'Silentfunk')[7] set an incredible record of 45% in just seven minutes of recording.[8] In 2017, Superex nerfed Silent Club by replacing the spam component with a simple straight-fly. Many players, including Sunix, have beaten this version.[9]

On October 29, 2020, Luqualizer certified the unnerfed version of blackP2Sfull.[10] He claims that the level is extremely imbalanced. 0-42% is around Bloodbath difficulty, whereas 53-100% is 'Insane Demon' difficulty, with the spam parts carrying the whole difficulty. He said that the difficulty level is among the top twenty. He defeated it on a 1.9 private server. Silent Club uses layered orbs, which stack three orbs on top of each other. Three-layered orbs are not feasible in 2.1. The source of around 46-50% of the issues is due to physical changes in 2.0 that render the level unworkable in 2.1. Luqualizer went through around 15,000 verification attempts. He would then test and publish his patch to the Geometry Dash servers, fixing the orb masking glitch. However, if the Low Detail Mode option is selected, the layered orbs with three orbs stacked on top of each other resurface throughout the level.

On April 24, 2021, the level unexpectedly acquired a Demon rating on Luqualizer's account, making it the oldest level to gain the 'Extreme Demon' classification.[11] On April 26, 2021, he would publish a video to verify his version.[12] The rating at this level had a revolutionary impact on the community. It also thrust Silent Club into the limelight for the first time in five years, sparking controversy, as did the previous pricing. Some players argued that it should not be ranked, while others believed it should. RobTop had elected to rank the level; it was eventually added to the Demonlist. Many gamers, including fnm04 and AeonAir[13], created videos discussing the level's rating. It was seen as a watershed point in Geometry Dash history, with Luqualizer's video of his 1.9 completion receiving over 20,000 views following the level's rating. Many unknown players, particularly mobile players, began attempting to beat the level.

On April 29, 2021, an anonymous player named Tuggy became the first winner of the newly rated level after 10,668 attempts, claiming that the level should be at least Top 30.[14] The next day, NickXD was rumored to be the second victor after 12,383 tries.[15] However, because to the low audio and video quality, as well as the fact that he lied about confirming other levels, Pointercrate and many others concluded that he hacked it, and his record was rejected. On May 3, 2021, Dr. Joe became the third victor (the second to be certified real) to defeat Silent Club in 28,256 attempts.[16]

Despite being roughly comparable to Bloodlust on the Demonlist, the community frequently contested the true difficulty. GeoDasher and CreatorRiley believe the level is overrated. GeoDasher feels the level is easier than Lucid Chaos, whereas CreatorRiley thinks it is Top 40 rather than Top 30. Cobrablitz believes the level is undervalued and should be higher than Cognition.
Gameplay

0-5%: The level begins with a three-block wide spam cube segment. The following stage consists of a few triple-spikes with mirror portals, and to adjust gravity, click the orbs within the blocks.
5-13%: The player reaches a difficult ship portion including straight-flying and a few mirror portals. The blocks in the middle of the hallway are four spikes arranged to imitate a block, thus the player must avoid touching them. After a straight-fly, there is a ball portion where the player must time various orbs to pass them and go to the next stage, a diagonal-fly.
13-20%: There is a mini-cube component that requires timing and rapid inputs. Then there's a timing-based ball segment.
20-29%: The player encounters a challenging mini-UFO area, a tiny straight-fly section, a difficult cube timing section with two seemingly near-frame-perfect leaps, and a blue orb that requires perfect time.
29-35%: Next, there is a ball part with hundreds of mirror portals and orbs with some simple timings, before the player transitions into a mini-ship where they must straight-fly while normal-size portals and mini-portals make it more difficult.
35–44%: Following a mini-ship phase, the player enters a wonky straight-fly section.
44-52%: This is the famed and crazy portion of the level. It begins with a spam part as the cube that needs challenging timings, with the player moving from the bottom to upper corridors of the spam. Following a mirror portal, there is a timing-based part that makes use of orb masking, followed by a spam segment. This is why many players thought this level was difficult to complete.
52-68%: There is a very simple straight-fly as a mini-ship, a simple mini-UFO segment, and an auto component. It is regarded as the simplest element of the level.
68-82%: Following a tough ball portion, there is a basic mini-UFO segment with gravity portals and a simple mini-ship with the same gimmick, both in a zig-zagged hallway.
82-100%: Following a dark memory-based maze, a basic mini-ship portion appears before the game concludes with a pink background.
The Luqualizer version of the level is free to duplicate, however the blackP2Sfull version is not.
The level has 7,994 items.
This makes it the Extreme Demon level with the second fewest number of things in-game. The record is now held by geometry dash subzero untitled unmastered.
The level measures 1m 23s in length.
On May 17, 2021, the level was ranked 15th on the Demonlist, ahead of Bloodlust (#16) and behind Lucid Nightmares (#14).[17]
This modification moved Ethereal Artifice to the Extended List and Dimension Breaker to the Legacy List.
This was the second known rated level to have orb spam, following the famed Heaven And Hell.
The designer 'i ViRuZ i' developed a recreation of this level called 'Silent Abyss'.[18]
If the level had not been unrated, it may have remained at the top of the Demonlist for about five years (only Zodiac was the first-rated Top 1 Demon regarded harder than this).
The level has a simpler replica called 'Silentium Clavas', which is comparable to Silentium Gradas.
The infamous'hidden path' discovered by Cyclic is not actually a secret way. Restoration Union had brute-forced all versions from Silent Club's first release to 2.0, and the cube would always miss by a hair space while performing the blue orb trick. While it is possible that blackP2Sfull confirmed Silent Club with this flaw, this is improbable, according to a tweet on Restoration Union's Twitter.[19] Eventually, blackP2Sfull admitted that he used the'secret technique' as a joke to trick others.[20] GameGuardian variable trick, speed hack, and Arduino Bot are the three most likely methods for verifying levels prior to Silent Club verification.
Despite being deemed 'impossible' by the community for six years, two people defeated it within 10 days after its rating.
Despite popular assumption, the orb spam part may be quite consistent if the player practices spamming. Furthermore, with the right time, the player may land and leap off the edge of a spike, saving a few clicks. The player can even skip the tiered gateway by timing it well.[21] AeonAir collaborated on a video with UFokinWotM8, who showed him how to spam regularly.[22] Furthermore, in one of his latest streams, UFokinWotM8 used Silent Club to demonstrate his consistency with spam.[23]
Unofficial sequels to this level were created some time after its initial release. Similar sequels can be found here.
Silent Club is the game's eleventh past top-ranked team.
Trotil's placement on October 28, 2023, moved Silent Club to the Demonlist's Extended List.
