About The Artist

Growing up, Brandon Gifford always loved all things art, working with his hands, and spending time with the nature around him. He eventually discovered a hobby and pasttime that combined all three of his loves: pottery. Working with clay on the potter's wheel quickly bacame an obsession and he worked to learn more and more about it.

Today, Brandon harvests his own wild clay from the world around him, makes his own glazes, and is always learning more. One of his main goals is to highlight the beauty that comes from the earth and our connection to it. Many of his inspirations come from the many Utahn landscapes around him and the environment near where his grandfather grew up in what is now Capitol Reef National Park.
