BCW Backstage Report 8/20/01

BCW, when we say '12' we really mean '7:30'.

One of the longer droughts of BCW news and reports! This could be bigger than ever!

BCW King of Brampton 2001 was a sell-out event, and went into the wee hours of the night and emerged as one of the best events in BCW's history. Results will be available shortly.

As far as injuries went, Rain competed with his injured feet and Graham Johnston was recovering from back spasms. Graham is expected to have a full recovery, Rain is still waiting to have his foot operated on. Little Mexcan Dude did suffer a minor knee injury during the finals of the tag team tournament. He did go on to compete in the final match at the King of Brampton. The roster has been very healthy as of late, and we'd like to keep it that way.

BCW would like to thank all that attended this years King of Brampton, and we look forward to having more out at future events.

Super O'Brien?!

Will BCW continue throughout the winter months? Outlook is 50/50, but we'll keep you posted.

Promos and vignettes have become a big interest in the BCW Offices lately. The wrestlers have had a great deal of fun shooting these promos to further enhance their characters and storylines. Look for these promos to appear soon on the website.

Mama's Boy was BCW's ambassador while vacationing in Cuba, late July. He did take some members of the film crew down, and shot some promos for the Safety Commitee.

King of Brampton also marked the return of Tibor and Lost Mexicano #1. Welcome back guys!

Special O'Brien?!

Every wrestler has been showing improvement in many areas of wrestling. This is a real big accomplishment for everyone, and let's keep on picking up where we left off.

Will BCW see an appearance by HBK? HBK?! It's not Shawn. Take another guess!

BCW plans to make a publicity appearance at a BCW show in Windsor, Ontario. August 29th's Border City Wrestling will showcase Mikey Whipwreck, in his last Canadian date before his retirement, will defend his BCW Can-Am Title against the "Sicillian Shooter" Guido Maritato.

Sort-of O'Brien?!

Dr. Hardcore has been on edge as of late, his Commonwealth title has been amiss. He hasn't been himself, and when he does get his title back, there will be hell to pay. Let's just hope the poor bastard who took the belt will leave it on his doorstep, and run like hell.

BCW hopes there can be two more events squeezed in, before the start of school. You see, there's always something in the way! Work, school, vacations, bathroom breaks!

If you're reading this, keep going. There's more still.

BCW has never claimed to be a hardcore federation. Hardcore has lost its proper meaning. When hardcore is heard, most instantly think tables, chairs, barbed wire, glass, and the like. "Hardcore is going out there everyday, showing up for work injured and still working a match. Giving 110% everytime you perform. Lance Storm comes to mind." -Jeff Marek as heard on Live Audio Wrestling.

Casey's Bar & Grill, Sherway Gardens Etobicoke, is still the official restaraunt of BCW and monday nights featuring WWF RAW IS WAR.

We apologize, but BCW is not looking for any new talent right now. If you have contacted us, we do have your name and email. So don't think we've neglected to talk to you, we're just really busy with the 'right now'. We'll try to get back to you ASAP.

Seldom O'Brien?!

When they say 'Don't try this at home'. It really gets to me. You have to start somewhere. And the majority of backyard wrestlers don't have the cash flow to fork out $3000. That's why backyard wrestling exists. There is so much potential talent hiding out there, but trainers won't touch them because they don't have the money. But they have the heart. In the end, that's what drives us all. And if it isn't, you're in the wrong business.

Until next time, don't you kids make me come back there!!!
