Vabungula - English Dictionary
This is a complete dictionary of the Vabungula language. Currently there are over 6200 entries.
This dictionary is continuing project, as my goal is to expand the English definitions where appropriate and provide example sentences for each word.
The Vabungula word is listed first in bold type. The number enclosed in parentheses following the Vabungula word designates the syllable on which the accent falls. Following this is an abbreviation for part of speech: "n" for nouns, "v" for verbs, "a" for adjectives/adverbs, and "x" for other. Verbs are further classified as transitive, intransitive, auxiliary (v), or any combination thereof. The English translation then follows.
Example:
acel (2) x.: about / approximately
"acel": accent falls on second syllable; the part of speech is neither noun, adj/adv, or verb.
This dictionary is divided into five separate pages (A-D, E-H, I-L, M-O, P-Ž) in order to facilitate webpage loading. At the top of each page is an alphabetical index (identical to the one immediately below), each letter being a hyperlink to the appropriate page and letter desired. Within the dictionary at the top of each new letter is a link back to the index.
