Saturday, August 7. will be here before you know
it!
We’ll be getting together about 11:00, in Chicago,
at Labaugh Woods Forest Preserve, grove # 4. It’s just off the Edens, on
Cicero, a bit north of Foster. For directions, http://www.fpdcc.com/tier3.php?content_id=66#nb.
When you enter the Forest Preserve, stay to your right, and you can’t miss
it.
As for food, bring whatever you’d like, (we’ll have
picnic tables). Though we’re permitted to barbecue, you must bring your
own grill. Last year was terrific, as several thoughtful people brought
food to share. There were sweets, fruit, and various snacks. And, thanks
to Bernie Weisman, there were some sandwich fixings, along with all of
the trimmings.
Again, we have a great space with a shelter. Some
of the guys had a good time last year throwing a softball around, which
Don Rosenberg brought. Also, practice your paddleball and hula-hoop skills.
Out of Towners, get in touch with friends and neighbors
from the MANOR, who you may not get to see on your other Chicago trips;
ask them to join us. As always, it’ll be a wonderful day of visiting, and
catching up.
If you know MANORITES who may not have gotten this
email, please pass the information along.
We’ll be taking the Group Picture at
2:00.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Robin
P.S. Thanks for understanding, as I’m asking $5 per
person
