Hopefully, you've
marked this year's calendar, as MANOR PICNIC DAY. Once again,
we'll be at Labaugh Woods in Chicago, on Cicero, just north of Foster.
"Out of towners", try to include the date in your summer
travel plans.
After
all these years, there are still such special feelings for those MANOR Days. In
fairness to all, whenever you arrive, and for however long you stay, there will
be a $3 per person charge; this will help to continue to give us
an opportunity to reminisce and catch-up with friends. Following the
Picnic I'll send a recap of who attended, and Mallory Dick has kindly
volunteered to man the sign-in table. She'd welcome help, so please
let me know if you'd be available.
As
always, if you know other MANORITES who may not have received this message,
please pass it along. If they'd like to contact me, I'll add them to
the distribution. Also, believe it or not, our "MANOR
FRIENDS", are 140 strong. If
you'd like to be included, please send me your current contact
information, which will be reflected in the next update.
Speaking
as one who's experienced Chicago's weather these last few days, I hope to see
you all, on a sunny, dry, warm, July 28!
