Jimi Hendrix not inhaling at high altitude while "Apache" dawns across the Pacific.

The Central Scrutinizer has recently added the following unusual images of popular H-bombs during the first instant of fission to the Gallery's archives.
"Mohawk" several hundred microseconds after detonation. The dark projection to the right is the bomb's remaining outer casing in the process of vaporizing. "Lea", 1.4 kiloton, 13 October 1958, Nevada Test Site, is sprouting "spikes" in this photograph. These are caused by the vaporization of the mooring cables securing the balloon on which detonation took place.
