One trip I always would make is one to Riverside. The ride was very nice, through the woods of Netown. Here we see the newly arrived LRV's at the old Riverside Platforms in August of 1978.

A train of PCC cars arrive at Lechmere on the other side of the Green Line in  August 1978 I can remember a trip to Lechmere, the trains going around the loop and a picture window PCC parked in the middle.

Another set of PCC's arrive at Lechmere in August 1978. These classic cars were the backbone of the Green Line fleet even when the LRV's arrived. Time though won out and all regular PCC service ended in 1984 except for the Mattapan - Ashmont line.
