Hi,

At this point, I am looking for medical and legal advice.

Hopefully, members can help.

My wife took Zyban seven months ago.

She had a severe reaction to the medication almost immediately (3 days) which she was prescribed by her doctor to stop smoking and has not been the same since then.

She has since been very anxious, depressed and suicidal.

Since this all started, she has seen a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, physiotherapist, hypnotherapist, accupuncturist and spiritualist.

Meanwhile she tries to exercise regularly, eat and sleep well (which is becoming more and more difficult).

She worked recently for 6 weeks but had to resign because she was even more anxious even though the job responsibilities were well within her capabilities.

Nothing is helping and I have to be with her pretty much 24/7 at this point.

We live in Singapore where the medication was prescribed to her by our neighborhood GP earlier this year.

She actually went into our Singaporean doctor's office with an old prescription for Wellbutrin from her GP in San Francisco, which she got for the same reasons (stop smoking) before moving to Singapore in Sept 2004.

She is a US citizen and a Singapore Permanent Resident since April 07.

Not sure how to best approach this from a legal and a medical point of view at this time.

The medical aspect is obviously the most important as the risk of damage gets higher and higher as the state she is in prolongs itself further.

Please let me know if you have any suggestion based on your own experience either in the US, Europe or Singapore.
