Bond of Absalom Graves and John Graves
Know all men by these presents that we Absalom Graves and John Graves, are held and firmly bound unto James Garrard Esqr Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the penal sum of one thousand pounds Current money of the s[um] aforesaid to which payment well and truly to be made to said Governor, and his Successors, we bind our selves, our heirs, Executors, administrators Joint and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals this 19th day of August 1799
The Condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound Absalom Graves shall duly and faithfully Execute the office of Clerk to the Quarter Session Court of Boone to which he has been this day appointed protempore and that he will not remove, or carry, nor suffer to be carried or removed out of the County the records and papers of the said Court, or any part thereof Except in Cases Allowed by law — then this obligation to be void, otherwise in full force and Virtue
