Carl & Malcolm's 1998 California Trip - Page 6

We stayed at a very nice gay resort in Palm Springs for four nights. There we very few guests staying there because it was mid-December, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. The resort is called Inn Exile, and you really could believe you  were away from civilization within the walled compound.

Both breakfast and lunch were served each day as part of the room rate, and the food was always very good. Staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean.

View of one spa taken from the door to our room.

Looking down The Promenade. This shallow (1.5') pool was VERY cold. However, in the summer is supposed to be quite refreshing.

The door to our room.

View above the wall at the end of The Promenade. Lots of humming birds zoomed around the bouganvillea and fruit trees.

This pool area was hardly used during the time we were at the resort.

This is the pool inside the front gate.

This pool was the main one we spent our time around. It was warm and proved a great way to cool off after suntanning.

Another view of our favorite pool.

A view of the walled compound from the outside.

All the rooms have a king-size bed with king-size pillows. Very comfortable accomodations.

This is the sitting area. The tall cabinet contains a TV and VCR. The only thing we didn't like about the rooms was the tiny bathroom.
