Bob:

Just thought I'd let you know that Annette Arterburn had a heart attack and is in St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.
She was not at the Dubina picnic on July 3, so I suspected then that something was wrong. I am not sure when it happened, though.

Annette circa 2000:
From a letter to Bob Gray:
Hi there Bobby - well it seems I stay busy and if I'm not working I'm reading. I do very little in the way of tours anymore. It was time for me to retire and since Jim is retired also, we are enjoying it.
I'll give you a little at a time on the family. We are so many now!!!!
Carolyn - unmarried uses the name Hewlett
Son Howard Hewlett married to Mara. He's a medical student in LA.
Daughter Shanna married to Jason Staley.
They have a son will be 2 in August named Dawson.
Jason is a cowboy and they live on a ranch near Brenham.
Shanna works in the Brenham hospital.

Henry, Jr. married to Linda.
They live near Daddy and have no children.
Junior is a welder and has a good many cattle. Linda works part time for the US Department of Agriculture.

Thomas is not married anymore.
He still has his business in Weimar but has turned it into a waterwell maintenance and swimming pool maintenance business. He does not operate the retail store anymore, but uses the building for stocking supplies and has a bookkeeper there also.
You wouldn't think there would be that many pools in our area but there are. The vast majority are the weekend homes of city people.
You may remember that Thomas bought the business from Mr. Edgar Banse. HMr. Banse died a few weeks ago. He and Thomas had been good friends over the years and Thomas would occasionally take Mr. Banse to meetings and conventions relating to water wells.
Thomas lives on a few acres that belonged to our Hudec grandparents where he built a house in 1982.
Thomas has one daughter, Kimberly, married to Mike Bouquet.
They recently bought a home in Houston.
Kim has a management job at Spring Branch Hospital.
Mike is a salesman for Briggs & Weaver.
Thomas also has a son, Robert Henry, who is not married. He lives in Weimar and used to work for Thomas but now he drives daily to Austin and works there as a mechanic.
I'll send you a little more as time allows.
A blessed Easter to all the Grays!!

PS: We had a great time watching Tiger this weekend.
