Tom's godparents were Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Haidusek. He was the fourth godchild for them from the Gray family. Since he also had red hair, Bob wanted Tom to have an Irish second name also. Liam is the Irish name for William (his Grandpa William Nieman died on December 11, 1958). See saints Thomas the Apostle and William.
