12: Thomas Gray was baptised by and named after Rev. Thomas Flanagan, a newly ordained Irish immigrant priest who came to Saint Michael's parish in Weimar. Tom's godparents were Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Haidusek. He was the fourth godchild for them from the Gray family. Since he also had red hair, Bob wanted Tom to have an Irish second name also. Liam is the Irish name for William (his Grandpa William Nieman died on December 11, 1958). See saints Thomas the Apostle and William.

Cecilia Gray began her Sophomore year at Bishop Forest High School. At Saint Michael's School, Bobby was in eighth grade, and Vince was in fourth grade. Msgr. Drozd asked Bobby to read the Gospel and Epistle at daily Mass from the sacristy, and gave him a tape recorder to practice with.
