Gray was born at
Youens' hospital in Weimar Texas to Ceil and Bob Gray. Frances and Edwin Haidusek were his godparents, when he was baptised at St Michael's Church by Msgr, Anthony F. Drozd.
When he couldn't hold his head up, Philip was diagnosed with hydrocephalus.

24: Henry and Edna Hudec, with their children, Annette, Carolyn, Henry Jr. and Thomas, came to the Gray home to celebrate Christmas Eve. Pictures were taken of the whole gang.
