| Ray walked Josie to her door.
"Thanks so much Ray, I had a great time," She said. "Me too," He said. She gave him a quick peck on the lips before unlocking her front door. "See you later." "Bye." Ray went back into the limo and they dropped off Lola next, fallowed by Frank, then Tracy. They stopped at Ray and Charlotte's houses. Gerard walked Charlotte to her door as Ray had done with Josie. "Some night, huh?" He said. "Yeah," She said. "And your dad won't kill me if I kiss you, will he?" "Probably not," She said. He smirked and kissed her for a few moments before the limo driver honked his horn for him to hurry up. "Night." "Night." She stood on the porch and watched him leave. She waved as the limo pulled away before turning back to her house and walking in. Gerard hung his jacket up and sat on the couch once he got home. "Have a good time?" Mikey asked. He was on the other side of the couch watching a horror movie. "Yeah." "Make any detours after you guys left the dance hall?" Mikey said suggestively. Gerard rolled his eyes and threw a throw pillow at him. "Hell no, I enjoy living and you know Brad would kill me," He said. "Sure you're not just too cheap for a hotel room?" Mikey said, throwing the pillow back at him, which Gerard then used to hit him hard over the head with, knocking off his glasses. "Sex on prom night is way too cliche," Gerard said. "You're right. Besides, all the hotel rooms were probably already taken anyway," Mikey said, putting his glasses back on. "Charlie, what are you gonna do for Saturday?" Josie asked. "What's going on Saturday?" Charlotte asked with a smile, opening her locker after school the fallowing Monday. "I don't recall anything too fabulous going on that day, why don't you refresh my memory?" Tracy rolled her eyes. "Charlie, we all know you didn't forget your own birthday." "I'm gonna go out and get a tattoo," She said. "Are you serious?" Frank said. "Yes, of course." "Where are you getting it?" Ray said with a smirk. "Lower back." "So, a tramp stamp," Mikey said. "Heh, yeah," She said. "What are you getting?" Bob said. "My name in a heart," Gerard joked. "Oh sure, right after you get mine on your chest," Charlotte said. "Y'know, doll, I would, but see, I'm deathly afraid of needles," Gerard said. "I'm getting a red rose," She said. "That's cool." "So what's going on with you and Lola?" Frank asked Bob randomly. "I don't know..." Bob said. "I think it was just a spur of the moment prom thing. She's cool though." "Spur of the moment prom thing...." Charlotte repeated with an eyebrow raised. "I think that's what happened with us," Tracy said. Frank nodded,"We're... friends with benefits!" ".... that's not gonna work," Gerard said. "Well fine, Tracy, be my girlfriend?" Frank said. "Okay." "There." "I'm confused," Mikey said. "It's okay Mikey, you aren't the only one," Josie said. Lila walked by, it looked as though she'd been crying. She didn't look at them. "She's upset because she saw you guys kissing and because Mindy decided that they aren't friends anymore," Bob said to Tracy and Frank. "She deserves it, she was lousy to a lot of people the last few years." "Now, is there anyone we forgot to get revenge on this year?" ".... Nope, I don't think so." "... you realize they might try to get revenge on us now." "Just got to keep our eyes open." "Gerard right? Hi, I'm Janie, I just want to say that I really enjoyed the performance at prom," said a girl with red hair to Gerard at lunch. "Um.. thanks!" He said. "I did too, great job!" Said another girl walking by. "You did a great job on your solo Ray!" Said another one walking in the other direction. "Frank, right? Awesome performance," Said a guy walking by with the girl. "Thanks," They kept saying. "It's been like this all day," Mikey said. "You guys suck," said a cheerleader as she walked by with her lunch tray, which didn't have too much on it. Josie, who was standing at the moment, nonchalantly tripped the girl. "Ooops, sorry," She said. "Fuck you," Said the cheerleader as she stood up. "You wanna go?" Josie said threateningly. The cheerleader rolled her eyes and picked up her tray again before walking off. "Seriously," Frank said, watching her leave as Josie took a seat on the top stair. "One song and it's like... we're about the same level of love-hate as the jocks..." Bob said. "Yeah, no one's half-way. Either they loved it or hated it," Ray said. "I can't move my back," Charlotte said as they all sat down at the pizza parlor that Saturday. "You're posture is much better now though," Frank commented as he chewed. "That's because I can't move my back," She said. "It looks nice though," Tracy said. She and Josie had gone with Charlotte when she got the tattoo. "Does it?" "Yeah." "Let us see, Charlie," Frank said. She sighed and stood up and turned around. She gingerly lifted part of her shirt and moved the bandage from the red rose tattoo. "It does look nice," Bob said. Josie helped her put the bandage back on and Charlotte sat back down. "If your back hurts, imagine how much Mindy's ass hurt after she got hers." "Oh God, 'Diva' what a stupid tattoo." "Seriously." "That explains why she didn't want to sit for a while around Christmas..." Tracy said. "I just thought it was because those seats were all freezing and we had to wear skirts!" Josie said. "God, they have the air conditioning on all winter, you'd think with all our tuition money they'd be able to afford to turn the heat on." "Of course not, why would they spend money on something like that when they can get something like new uniforms for the sports teams?" Charlotte said. "Seriously. Could use some newer supplies in the art department too," Gerard said. "Yeah, but the arts are dying..." They continued eating, laughing, talking. Stuff that friends do, without a care in the world. They walked out of the parlor. "What did your parents get you?" Bob asked. "They're gonna get me a car when I go to California for College. And they got me this nice piece of plastic to get something," She said, taking out the credit card she'd used to pay for the pizza. "And money is one of the greatest gifts one can give," Frank said. "Which reminds me, what did Gerard give you?" "I'm gonna give her something, just not right this second," Gerard said. "He forgot," Bob said. "I did not! Just cause you all forgot mine..." "And this is our cue to leave the lovebirds alone. Call us later Charlie," Tracy said as she, Josie and the rest of the guys walked towards the coffee shop. "Okay, see you guys later," She said. "So..." Gerard said. "West Hudson?" "Sure." They walked a little ways to the park and walked on to the bridge over-looking the pond. Charlotte went to lean on the railing, only to step forward again. "Ow... damn tattoo..." Gerard smiled. "You okay?" "Yeah." "I didn't forget... just so you know. Here," He said, taking a small box from his pocket. She opened it to see a bracelet and necklace. They both had charms that said 'REVENGE' on them. "Wow, these are great..." She said looking at them. "Every time I see them I'll be reminded of our strange little schemes of Revenge..." She pulled the Necklace out and closed the box before putting it in her pocket. "Need help with that?" Gerard asked. "Sure." He went behind her and clasped the necklace around her neck. "Finals! I can't believe... finals," Tracy said the next Monday before class. "I hate taking finals." "At least we get half-days for finals," Charlotte said. "We should all probably get together to study," Ray said. "Probably." "Yeah, you guys should drop by my place this Friday. My brother and sister will be gone and my parents will probably leave us alone, we'll study there," Josie said. "Okay." "Charlotte... are you okay? You seem stiff," Mr. Marcus asked as he stopped to watch Charlotte and Gerard working on their experiment. "Yeah, I'm fine," She said, telling your teacher you had gotten a tattoo over the weekend and that you were unwilling to move your back and that's why you appeared stiff, was the best idea. "Experiment going alright?" "Yeah," They both responded. "Understanding everything?" "Yeah," They both said again. "Okay then," He said moving on to Lila's group. Gerard was reading about SVA when he remembered that Charlotte was going to California. He must have looked worried, because Mikey asked him what was wrong. "Nothing, just thinking... Charlotte's going to college on the other side of the country..." "And you're gonna miss her." "Yeah..." "Still have Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter," Mikey said. "I don't think she'll be comming all the way across the country for all of those." "Maybe she will to see her family, friends and... boyfriend." "I don't know if I'd still be with her.... would she still want to be with me?" "I don't know. Maybe you should ask her to stay, go to school with you in New york, there had to be a school in New York that accepted her." "I can't ask her to give that up..." He said. "Well... then I guess you'll have to enjoy her company while you can..." "Louis and Clark? I thought it was Lois and Clark," Frank said. "... Louis and Clark have to do with American history, Lois and Clark are from Superman," Charlotte said. They were all in Josie's living room, studying for finals. Except Mikey, considering it would not be any benefit for him to study for the senior final when he had the freshmen final to worry about. "Oooooooooooooh... that explains why I got an F on that report I did two years ago....." "Yeah...." "Okay, let's try some.... math," Bob said. "If we must," Tracy said. "Can you believe there's only two weeks left of school?" Josie said. "Seriously... then we have part of the summer then... college," Frank said. Shoving college from their minds yet again, they continued studying. Usually doing more random talking and eating then studying, but at least they tried. Charlotte woke up with her head on Gerard's chest. They'd all fallen asleep studying. She, Gerard, and Bob on the couch, Tracy, Frank, and Josie on the floor, and Ray in an arm chair. Gerard was still asleep, leaning on the arm of the couch with one of his arms around Charlotte's waist. Bob was leaning against the other arm of the couch. She kissed Gerard's cheek and whispered into his ear. "Good morning." Gerard stirred and woke up. "What time is it?" "I don't know..." Charlotte leaned over to where Frank was asleep and grabbed his wrist to look at his watch. "Seven." "Then I don't know about you but I'm going back to sleep," He said, putting his arm around her again and closing his eyes. She smiled and put her head back on his chest and closed her eyes. When Frank's wrist fell back to the ground after Charlotte had checked the time he woke up with a yawn. He stretched, cracking his back and sat up. He looked around for a few seconds before realizing where he was. He checked his watch. Barely seven in the morning. He yawned again and ran his fingers though his hair for a few moments. He thought he should get up... but he couldn't make himself. So, instead he laid back down. He turned his head and saw Tracy. He played with her hair for a moment before closing his eyes and going back to sleep. "Don't worry, they're all here," Mrs. Wedson said into her phone as she made breakfast. ".... Yes Brad, everyone has their clothes on, they're good kids..... alright, I'll have her call you..... okay..... talk to you later... bye." |
