Gerard had his eyes glued to his watch.  The seconds going by far too slowly.  After He and Mikey had arrived back home, their mother had a few choice words for them for getting suspended.  Then their father over the phone a few hours later.  It was worth it though.  They were grounded, not aloud to go meet up with the rest of the guys, which was fine because they were grounded too.  They hadn't taken the phone away though, and Charlotte was going to drop off some homework after school.

"Come on," He said, shaking his wrist and putting his watch to his ear to make sure it was still working.
Tick......................................... tock........................................... tick.......................................tock..................

"Time is a bitch who shall be brutally murdered some day once someone finds her," Gerard mumbled.  He took out his sketchbook and added some details to his latest sketch.  He checked his watch again.  Sketched.  Checked his watch.  Sketched.  Checked his watch.

He put his sketchbook on his desk and groaned.  "I'm fucking bored out of my mind... never thought I'd actually wish I was in school..."

He was, however, taking advantage of not having to wear the uniform.  Ripped jeans and a t-shirt were perfectly fine with him.

After another hour of obsessively checking the time and trying to sit down and sketch something for more then five minutes at a time, the doorbell rang.  Gerard ran down the stairs to the door like a puppy rushing to greet their master.  He threw open the door and at the sight of Charlotte lunged at her, putting his arms around her.  She stepped back slightly and dropped her books from the sudden hug.

"Charlie, I missed you so much," Gerard said, kissing her neck.  She squeaked.

"That spot of my neck..." She said.

"Does it make you want to scream?" He whispered, suggestively.

She laughed.  "Oh yes, Gerard.  Why'd you miss me so much?"

"I was so bored," He said, letting go of her and bending down to help her pick up her books.

"Poor thing.  It was rather..... quiet today at school.  Josie, Tracy and I were bored too."

"It's kind of sad if you guys
aren't bored when we're there.  We aren't that exciting," Gerard said.

"Not like we've got anyone better to hang out with," She said.  "Oh, I stopped by Mikey's classes and got his homework too."

"That's good.  Come on in."

"Okay."

She walked in and pet Skippy, who was asleep on the nearby armchair.  "So you haven't considered sneaking out while you're mom's at work?"

"Nah, she calls to check in between appointments," He said.  "So we really can't."

"Oh I see," She said, giving him his homework and some photocopies of some notes she had taken.

"Thank you so much, I owe you," He said as she took out the stuff for Mikey.

"No problem," She said as he kissed her cheek.  She checked her watch.  "Oh gosh, I have to go, I'm helping Tracy babysit some demon kids and I still have to drop some stuff off at Ray's."

"One thing before you go, okay?" he said.  He put his arms around her and kissed her lips.  She kissed him back until they heard Mikey clear his throat behind them.  They broke apart, slightly red.

"See you guys later, bye," She said.  She kissed Gerard's cheek once more before picking up her bag and books again and leaving.

"See you," Gerard said.

Bob looked out the window of his room.  It was day four of their week's suspension.  He was bored out of his mind.  He saw a stray cat walk across his driveway.  He watched the cat closely.  It sat on the sidewalk in front of his house and licked his paw.  It tried to walk away but was limping on that one paw.  Bob, being the cat lover he is, couldn't watch that and not do anything.  He went downstairs and walked out to the front yard.  "Here kitty, kitty, kitty," He said.

The cat looked up at him.  It was a black cat with a white patch on his chest and paws.  It stared at him for a while.  He looked at her paw and saw that it was slightly bleeding.

"Poor kitty.  C'mere kitty, I'll help you," he said.  The cat stayed where it was, staring at him still.  "C'mere kitty."

It stared at him for another few moments before limping over to him.  He carefully picked it up and saw that it was a girl.  "It's okay, kitty, Bob's here to help."  He carried her into his house and noticed she had a collar on.  He read the address.  "Hmm... you're Lola's cat.  I'll fix up your paw and drop you off.  And your name is... Binky... okay.  Lola doesn't strike me as someone who'd name their cat Binky, but okay..."

He got the cat a dish of milk and she began lapping it up.  He cleaned her cut paw and wrapped it in a bandage.  "That's a good kitty," He said petting her.  She purred.

"I don't know how some people like dogs better then cats," He said, picking the cat up and holding her like an infant.

He walked out the front door.  Lola's house wasn't far, no one should notice left.  He walked a few blocks before getting to a fairly large house.  He rang the bell and waited a moment.  Lola opened the door.  "Bob!  You found Binky!  Thank you!"

She took the cat from his arms and held her in her arms, stroking her back.  The cat purred, happy to be back with her owner.

"You're welcome."

"Oh, what happened to her paw?"

"I don't know, it was cut when I found her."

"Thank you for wrapping it.  This means a lot to me."

"No problem."  He started wondering why everyone called her weird.  She wasn't weird.  At all.  She was as normal as anyone else, but just a little different.  Maybe it was her dyed black hair, her nose piercing or her fetish for fingerless gloves and anime.  But then why didn't he or any of his friends have 'Weird' placed in front of their names?

"How's suspension?" She asked.

"It's alright," He said.  "Really boring."

"Whenever I would get suspended, I'd always bake things.  I'd bake cake and stuff and eat it all before my parents even got home.  Good way to pass time.  Or you can watch Court TV.  That's always fun," She said.

"Thanks.  We're still on for prom right?"

"Yeah."

"Cool.  Well, I'd better get going.  I need to get home before someone notices I left."

"Alright.  See you at school Monday."

"Okay.  Bye.  Bye Binky."  He pet the cat's head before turning to leave.

Frank was having a staring contest.  With himself... staring at a mirror....

He winced at his reflection, his eyes beginning to water.  He blinked.

"Dammit, another tie," He said to his reflection.  He stared at it again.  The phone rang.  "Hello?" He said, picking it up, not taking his eyes off of the mirror.

"Hi Frank, What're you up to?" Ray said.

"Having a staring contest with myself in the living room mirror, you?"

"... sounds fun.  Nothing.  Playing guitar.  We should TP Lila's house or something tonight."

Frank blinked.  "Damn another tie.  That's a great idea!  I'm declaring you... the Man with the Plan!"

"That's not gonna stick."

"We'll just see about that.  Eleven tonight we'll TP and egg her house.  Call the girls, Gerard, Mikey, and Bob.  They'll want in on it."

"Why don't you call them?"

"Because I'm busy."

"I'm sure your reflection will be there when you come back."

"Alright.... I'll call Gerard, Mikey and Bob."

"See you later."

"Where are they?" Frank whispered.  He, Josie, Gerard, Bob, Mikey, and Tracy, who had just gotten her cast off, waited a block away from Lila's house on Tracy's porch.  All in black to better blend in at this hour, although it was usually what they wore anyway.

"They're only fifteen minutes late," Josie said, checking her watch.  Ray and Charlotte still not there.

"We can't hang out too long, still grounded," Bob said.

Charlotte and Ray came up to the porch, as if on cue.  "Sorry, we couldn't get out," Ray said.

"I had to wait for my parents to fall asleep and climb out my window and down a tree so they wouldn't know I left," Charlotte said.  Gerard walked over and pulled a twig that had a leaf on it out of her hair and tossed it aside.

"Thanks."

"Okay, let's go," Frank said, picking up the trash bag of toilet paper and two cartons of eggs.

".... Oh yes, that's not suspicious," Bob commented.

"Less suspicious than just carrying the toilet paper and egg cartons around," Josie said.

"That's true."

Around the corner and slowly up the street they walked.  Making sure each house had no lights on.  They approached Lila's house, the only light on her porch, lighting her address.  Lucky for them, there was no street light in front of her house.

"This is our huge revenge scheme huh?"

"Lila was being a bit left out, y'know?"

"Shh!"

And so, over the tree, on the roof, the porch and any other place it would hang, the rolls of toilet paper flew and eggs splattered.

They were down to two roles when Tracy saw headlights.

"Quick!  That way, scatter!  We'll meet back at my porch!" She hissed, they could hear the tires rolling on the pavement.  The lights getting closer, twenty feet away.

Frank threw one of the last two roles and Bob threw the other before they ran.

Frank, Tracy, and Josie ran straight, Bob, Ray and Mikey took a left, and Gerard grabbed Charlotte's arm and they took a right.

"C'mon.  We'll detour through West Hudson," Gerard said.  They nearly ran out in front of a car, stopping one and a half feet short of the rusty door.  The driver gave them the finger and kept on driving.  Gerard glanced at Charlotte as they continued across the street, walking now.  "You okay?"

"Yes, I am.... Should have brought my jacket though," She said.  Her arms covered in goosebumps, she shivered slightly.  Gerard had left his leather jacket home as well.  He was only now starting to realize the cold.

"Wait a minute... detouring through West Hudson will take us to your house... not Tracy's..."

"There's an alley half-way through it that takes you to the Grocery Store that's only a few blocks from her house," Charlotte said.

"Ooooh, dark alley in the middle of the night," Gerard said.

"... you're right, stupid idea."

"Let's just drop by your place, you can give Tracy a call."

"Okay."

They quickened their pace back into a run until they got about halfway through the park.  Warm from running for about five minutes before the chills came back.

"Full moon..." Charlotte commented.  They both looked even more pale then normal in the moonlight.

"Look out for werewolves," Gerard said.

"Would a werewolf attack a Vampire and his girlfriend?"

"Probably not," He said.  Both of them shaking from the cold.  He put his arms around her and pulled her close.  She put her arms around him too.

"I held you close as we both shook, for the last time, take a good hard look..." Charlotte sang.

"... damn, how many times did you listen to that tape?" He asked with a smirk.

".... too many times..."

He laughed slightly,"I love you."

She smiled.  "Really?"

"Yeah.  Yeah, I love you."

"Love you too.  Not just cause you said it first."

She kissed him, neither of them minding that they were standing out in the open of the park in the middle of the night... in the same park that a few dead bodies had been found in at the pond.

"Let's get you home," Gerard whispered to her once they broke the kiss.

"There's that alley, if you still want to head to Tracy's."

There was a street light near the alley, it appeared empty.  "Probably shouldn't, y'know...."

"I know..."

"Well.... we can take a look."

"Now where are they?" Frank said.

"I'm getting worried, maybe we should call the cops," Josie said.

"Give them a few more minutes," Bob said.

"They're probably just eating each other's faces again or something," Ray said.  "I'm sure they'll show up any second."

Charlotte and Gerard ran up, as if on cue and collapsed on the steps of Tracy's porch.  They gasped for air.

"I'm sorry, I was so stupid.  My brain isn't working, I'm so sorry Gerard, stupidest thing I've done," Charlotte gasped.

"What happened?" Josie asked.

"We... went down an alleyway as a shortcut," Gerard said sheepishly.

"WHAT?  What kind of idiots are you guys?  What happened?" Tracy said.

"Oh, we made it all the way through the alley when some guy I can only assume \was in the mafia came out and mistook Charlotte for his sister," Gerard said.

"So, then we ran.... and ran.... and ran... and ran...." Charlotte said.

"What about the mafia guy?"

"He chased after us for a few blocks before seeing his sister's car go by.  She almost ran us over...." Gerard said.

"We almost got hit by a car twice tonight... and chased by a guy in the mafia... and for what?  To cover Lila's house in toilet paper!" Charlotte said, pulling her hair back, letting the cold air touch her neck that was over-heated from running.

"You guys are the ones that ran that way and went through the alley, not the TPing's fault," Ray said.

"Whatever...." Charlotte said.
