Europe countries, North America, Australia and New Zealand operates a system of daylight saving time. Clocks advanced by one hour in the spring (i.e. 6 PM became 7 PM). This gives people more light in the evening at a time of year when there is all ready enough light in the morning. The both advantages are economic and social: less electricity is need for lighting, and more outdoor activitiescan enjoy. In the autumn the clocks are put back, the evening suddenly gets darker, and everyone look forward to the spring. |
