The story of how Mohammed became the prophet of Islam by having a vision of the angel Gabriel who encouraged him to overthrow the many idols of the Kabaa in Mecca and persuade the people to follow one true God. In this, the story is very similar to that of Moses leading tghe Hebrews in the Ten Commandments.
Facing opposition by Muslim extremists, location had to moved from Morocco to Libya, and when it was released other Muslim extremists mistakenly protested about Anthony Quinn playing the part of Mohammed.
