Anne: So we'll have to move. (Declaring)

Emiko: There's a house near us that's empty.
(Suggesting)

Anne: Is it for rent?
(Inquiring)

Emiko: I think so.
(Confirming) Big house, two storeys, nice gate.. (Describing)

Anne: Ah, the old farmhouse?
(Remembering)

Emiko: Yes, yes. The farmhouse.
(Confirming) You know? (Checking)

Anne: Hmm.
(Expressing uncertainty) I know it. (Confirming) It's big all right. (Admitting?) But, ah, maybe a little too traditional? (Expressing dislike)

Emiko: You've seen it already?
(Checking)

Anne: An agent showed us yesterday.
(Reporting) There were holes in the floor and a snake in the bath. (Reporting)

Emiko: No!
(Disbelieving)

Anne: It's true
(Insisting) I'd really like something a little newer. (Expressing Preference)
