I have a couple of comments I'd like to make about (introducing) writing essays. First, (sequencing) you must read about your topic before you write. This means that (clarifying) you must collect books, magazine and newspaper articles, and Internet sites as references. Second, (sequencing) you must find important quotations in these references. I should add (adding) that it is useful to stick yellow Post-It notes to mark the pages. Next, (sequencing) you must plan an outline of your essay, dividing it into an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Remember to (reminding) write in clear paragraphs, each one having a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a conclusion. Last but not least, (sequencing) you need to acknowledge the sources of your information. In other words, (clarifying) you must list the references you have quoted at the end of the essay. In summary, (concluding) first read about the topic, then organize the key points into an outline, and only after that start to write. Finally, check over your essay carefully for spelling and grammar mistakes. |
