Editor's Take

I first saw the Fabulous Thunderbirds during an Austin City Limits show on TV. They played with SRV and from that time on I was hooked. Unfortunately I didn't get to a live performance while Jimmie Vaughan was still with band, but the current line up can still kick out that T-Bird energy. Kid Ramos has a great talent and feel for being the lead guitar man and fits perfectly in the band. Kim Wilson has been playing the harmonica for close to 30 years and is one of the most incredible musicians to see performing his gift in person.

I've had the pleasure of seeing the Fabulous Thunderbirds throughout the northeast with some great talent. The "Turning Stone"  show consisted of a dinner put on by "The Dinosaur Bar-B-Que" (THE home for Blues, Brews and Bar-B-Que in Syracuse and Rochester, NY). During and after the dinner we were treated to the incredible "Miss E", Syracuse's premiere female Blues artist. (Look forward to a Miss E page in our Homebrew Department).
