The death of Stevie Ray Vaughan had left us with an irreplacable void that only he could take us to. After seeing SRV's energy and magic so many times, I believed I would never experience that feeling of intensity again.

The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band has emerged as one of those bands who can bring out that intensity once again. Kenny Wayne has been given the gift, just as SRV was given, to have the passion, sincerity, ability and unselfishness to share that gift with all of us. He openly acknowledges his gratefuleness to the masters such as SRV, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King and Muddy Waters. Whenever I'm at a show watching and listening to his flawless playing, I swear that I can hear one or two riffs of SRV which I am thankful for.

I have had the good fortune of seeing the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band all over my area of the world with some the greatest bands. Prior their current headlining tour, they have played with the likes of Aerosmith, B.B. King and Van Halen. I encourage all to get out and catch their live performance.

Our most recent and most incredible show came on 3/20/00 at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington, VT. The 200+ mile journey through the Adirondack Mountains was topped by landing front row seats in one of the best theatres to see a show. We're off to Syracuse, NY for 4/25/00 show at the Landmark Theatre. Once again we'd like to thank the KWS Band for rekindling that once lost energy.

Just when I thought I had said it all about my feelings regarding the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, they put on the best show I have ever seen. Seeing them perform at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse (my personal favorite venue) as a headliner was something special.

The band once again showed their talent and passion for playing Rock & Blues. Kenny Wayne offered us a chance to relive the spirit of Stevie Ray Vaughan with his trademark cover of "Voodoo Chile". The first time I saw Stevie Ray perform, he cranked out "Voodoo Chile" and played a few flawless riffs behind his head. I've seen Kenny Wayne perform "Voodoo Chile" on many occasions; however, on this night, he whips the guitar behind his head and proceeds with a few flawless riffs. Myself and the crowd went nuts and am sure SRV was there with us.
