Oscar Contest

And so it is written, and so it is said. Sounds so grandiose, hehe. OK, seriuosly, sorry about the delay in posting the results. First, the DSL broke at home, meaning posting from my laptop was gonna be tough. Second, working too much, way too much. Third, and most importantly, the one that actually matters to you, there was a recount. Seriously, the results were tallied then I noticed an error in the Excel formula. So I redid everything, went manual and counted, had my impartial brother read over the results, and here's what we got:

Laura = 6 correct
Darth Wump = 8
Devin, Jen, Eric "I only saw Dreamgirls"= 9
KT = 10
Brenton, Hakka Pimp, Paulie, Irene!! = 11

AND the high scores...

Francis = 12
Min = 12
Jenny = 12
Me = 12

So, it all came down to the tiebreaker questions: which movie won the most awards and how many?
First priority went to naming the correct movie, and in the event of a tie, the person closest to the actual number would be declared grand champion!

Out of the four finalists, three named Dreamgirls as the top flick, and one hit the mark with The Departed...

and let me just say that finishing tied for second last year and tied for first this year, Francis did an amazing job, and me finishing first last year and tied for first last year might rank with Greg Raymer's WSOP accomplishments...
