These are a few of my favourite memories:
- Finger painting with Miss Milner in kindergarten
- The Orf (sp?) music teacher
- Always wanting to be as good a speller as Janet Maxwell (Miss Kincaid's Grade one class)
- Swinging from the giant weeping willow tree at recess
- Learning to skip "double Dutch"
- Playing "yogi" and "squish"
- Field Day and the potato sack races
- Learning our "times tables" in Miss Sinclair's grade three class . . . and eating lots of Scottish rock candy
- Choosing to play the cello only to switch to the violin after struggling to carry my cello up Pinedale Road
- The thrill of watching the '72 hockey series in Mr. Molden's Grade six classroom
- Singing carols at the Christmas concerts
I could go on and on . . .
