Joanne (Abraham) Farrell, Class of '67 |
I remember at recess time in grades 5 & 6 everyone would run out to find that recessed corner of the school to play SQUISH. The person to get there first would grab the corner spot and everyone else would squish in a tight line -backs against the wall- and try to elbow the person out beside them to get to the corner. If you were the one left in the corner when the bell rang, you won!! Kids today would never think of playing a game like this! Also, marbles ( in the Crown Royal bag) and yogi!! What about hopscotch with the safety pins?
Those of us who were in Mr. Legge's class the year he got married to Joanne were lucky enough to go to his wedding. They seemed so old then, but I'm sure they were a lot younger than we were when we all got married!
Lots of great memories!
