I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

     

More rain, horses looking sorry for themselves waiting at the fence for me. I spent most of the afternoon in town lingering over an extended "quick cup of tea" with a friend I had thought lost forever, but I have hope after today. I did a few other things while I was there and came home feeling quite exhausted (well, I was still awake at 7.00 am) and had several extended lying on the floor in front of the fire sessions in between a small amount of pottering on the computer. I've got these big chunky headphones now so I can lie there and listen to music which drowns out all the other noises of the house and means I don't have to worry about who I might be disturbing.
It's normally our night off communal dinners on a thursday but Collette made us all a dinner, with pudding and everything. Dinner was late and protracted so by the time that was over and I've printed out a load more video covers for Clare and had a bath it's now bedtime already. I bought some more books in town today, I'm very nearly out of shelf space to put them on.
