Tears streamed down his cheeks. They had built a flood, the pic of her wet from the tears that had fallen down onto it.
" Why?" He asked from himself, from God, from someone who could hear. He asked it from the teddy bear she had loved. The teddy bear he had given on her birthday last year.
She touched the world with her smile
And paved the way so many times
The look in her eyes, always of love
Sometimes at night I heard her in pain
Though she'd never tell me
Last year. It seemed so far away. Like it had been forever since the day he had met her, and fallen in love with her. Last year. How he wished he could live that period of time again and feel the happiness in his heart once more. But no one could turn back the hands of time, no matter what the reason is. It belonged to the past, but this was the day he hoped the past would appear in front of him, and bringing her along.
One day, she had complained about a headache, but since her mother had had a migren, the doctors were convinced it would be a migren as well and would pass in a few hours. She never said a thing about feeling bad, being in agony. She never would want to frighten him. But as the night fell, he could hear her crying, sobbing, shaking. In the morning, there was no trace of pain, not a hint of the agony. She just smiled like she had always smiled, with love spreading from her lips to her eyes. It conquered her whole face.
No trace of a tear, that's just how she was
And she was the sunshine of my morning
Her cloud of love floating by
She looked up to the heavens one day
And heard him say
It's time to come home
It's time to come home
Two weeks ago, when he had got sick himself, she had taken care of him. She had wrapped him into a warm blanket when he was cold, she had sung to him when he had been feeling down. And yet, she was in more pain. She didn't want to show it, just covered it with that adorable smile. And as she had once said:
"All the smiles that are true, come from the heart, originated by love." And oh, how many times she had wrapped him into that love.
Her love was always a blanket of joy
In the world so cold
I knew I'd never be, be alone
And through the hurt she held me tight
She said she believed in me
Her gift was love and it kept me strong
The day was tragical. It was full of love, but it only made the day even harder.
She had collapsed by the lake, where they had been walking in. She felt dizzy and then her legs gave way. She fainted into his arms. He panicked and called an ambulance, but deep down inside of him he knew it would be too late.
Once more, she opened her love filled eyes and looked at him, still resting in his lap. He felt tears rise up to his eyes, and let them fall as she touched his cheek.
" It's time..." she whispered harshly. "...for me to go home."
He couldn't help but cry from desperation.
" What? Sweetie, it's not your time yet. Not in a long time. We have many years to spend together."
" I love you, . I always have,...and always will." A lonely tear fell from her eye and touched her cheek, giving her a kiss to her forehead.
" I love you too, angel...more than anything. Please don't leave me..." He begged and they kissed softly.
She smiled for one more time.
" I will...never leave you, love...I'll always be soaring above the sky, watching over you...I will be waiting for you, my angel."
cried hopelessly, willing her to stay a bit longer.
" I love you..I love you..." he repeated over and over again, and looked at her.
She took the last gasp of air, eyes never leaving from 's.
And then she was gone.
And she was the Sunshine of my morning
Her cloud of love floating by
She looked up to the heavens one day
And heard him say
It's time to come home
I have to tell this vision to you
Perhaps you know, perhaps it is true
Love like this only comes once
" How I miss you..." he sobbed and crouched down to touch the grass.
" I miss you so much."
He cried openly, once again remembering how happy she had made him, and how much beauty there was in both of their lives.
" Why? Why did you have to take her?!" He shouted desperately to the skies. " I need her a lot more than you do...I love her, I can't live without her..." He hid his face in his hands and cried. Tears of sorrow and pain dropped down onto the grass. He tried to pull himself together but he just couldn't. His heart couldn't be repaired. She had left irreplaceable prints to his heart that wouldn't fade away.
Something made him look up to the sky, a solitary cloud was floating, and he thought he could see her there. A dove sat down onto the stone and looked at him curiously. He could've sworn the same love he had seen in her eyes, were in the dove's eyes.
And she was the sunshine of my morning
Her cloud of love floating by
She looked up to the heavens one day
And heard him say
It's time
" You are home. " He whispered to the dove. " I love you, angel." And then it flew away, up and high, beyond the cloud in the sky.
He stood up, and touched her gravestone, wiping the sand on her name away. He kissed the top of the stone and placed a deep red rose onto it. Tears still streaming down, he turned and walked away.
The dove soared in the sky, looking down at him and sat onto the cloud.
The wind brought three unforgettable words into 's ears:
" I love you."
And she was the sunshine of my morning
Her cloud of love floating by
She looked up to the heavens one day
And heard him say
It's time to come home
