MATHCOM2001: Junior takes Georgia math competition at SciTrek
event.

Brandon Luders, a 16-year-old junior at Duluth High School took first place Saturday in the Georgia High School State Championships in Mathematics, MATH-COM2001, held at SciTrek.
Students competed in several events in the afternoon competition. Luders placed first in both trigonometry and modulo arithmetic.
Second place overall went Brad Greer, an 18-year-old senior at Westside High School in Macon. Greer finished first in probability, logic and in the obstacle course.
Other top finishers included JoAnn Todd, an 18-year-old senior at Woodstock
High School, who finished first in geometry and Celaine Prezel, an 18-year-old
senior at Johnson High School in Gainesville, who finished first in Venn
diagrams.
